    Faye - thanks :)

Meredith, I may steal your idea for steak and Caesar salad. Sounds yummy, and once again I have multiple packages of romaine hearts in the fridge. :p

As for holiday foods: my annual St. Patty's Day story. Years ago when I was still living at home, my Dad had a business outing which included the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade, and apparently, quite a bit of green beer afterwards. My Mom had rushed home from work, cooked corned beef and cabbage (which I hate), only to have no one show up for dinner. I felt so bad for my Mom, I ate some of the dreaded CB&C. My Dad's penance was to go puppy shopping with my Mom that weekend all over the NY tri-state area (NY-NJ-CT). We ended up with a very sweet Maltese pup with a fuschia bow in her hair named Lulu. I haven't had CB&C since. ;)

Tonight we are having Caesar salads with steaks on top. The steaks we will season and cook on the grill. A simple but delicious dinner before the start of a crazy weekend...

Happy St' Patrick's Day! Is anyone enjoying any holiday foods today?

Tonight we are having veggie omelets (Swiss, spinach and mushrooms), veggie sausage links, croissants and fruit. I'll be having scrambled egg whites with veggies and fruit on the side.

nakabi - I hope your mountain picnic yesterday was bear-free! Your menu sounded lovely.

ybaverage2003 - thanks for asking about the GB diet. It seems to be working pretty well. I am still having very mild symptoms which will continue until it is removed, but nothing like the attack from last week. I meet with the surgeon today so I'll know more then.

jdouglas13 - I'm sorry her test results were not ideal. Hopefully they can figure out a next step that actually works.
