raesmom1612 - what a nice dinner you had!

You are probably right about that garlic, jdouglas13. :-) I am guessing it's going to make an appearance at dinner Friday night then.

Lol jdouglas I'm sure that man will be happy you didn't eat the ciabatta garlic bread :)

Tonight I made vinegar pork chops in the oven seasoned well and added onions, white rice and Spanish beans. A taste of home :)

    Leftover cupcakes for dessert

Faye, I think it would be really good too. However, the guy who is going to be in my face coloring my hair tomorrow morning, probably not so much. ;)

jdouglas13 - I bet ciabatta garlic bread would be really good.

It's a take out pizza night for us!

I bought a couple of bags of split peas a couple of weeks ago, so I think I'm going to make some pea soup for dinner with as much hidden veg as I can add. I need to make it sooner than later before it gets too hot for soup. I was at Trader Joe's yesterday picking up some of their salt, pepper, lemon pepper, and garlic salt grinders, and bought a loaf of ciabatta bread that may or may not get turned into garlic bread to have on the side. I don't often buy bread, but it just looked really good and was calling my name. ;)

Tonight we are having Barber mushroom and Swiss chicken, pasta with butter and parm and green beans. It's a busy night so I needed something easy.

twinredheads - If my girls knew you were making hushpuppies, they would be right over!

I VERY RARELY fry anything, maybe because I was raised on the west coast :), but my teen daughters have requested fried chicken drumsticks. The chicken was oh so frugally priced at Aldi's yesterday that I relented on my health kick. So, fried chicken, hushpuppies (since I already have the oil hot and have the mix) and sweet mini peppers. I'll be having a salad with Perdue Short cuts that I got during SD.
