    Faye, you are starting to cook like me. All of a sudden it will be 7:30 pm and I'm wondering where the day went and what in the world we are having for dinner.

    Speaking of which, I better fire up the oven or microwave LOL.

    I have a confession to make. I totally forgot to put the London broil in the slow cooker this morning even after I posted about it. lol Sooooo, we are probably have soup and sandwiches or salad and sandwiches or quesadillas. We'll see what the masses vote for. Can you guess what we are having for dinner tomorrow? :-)

    I'm feeling kind of lazy today, so dinner will probably be leftovers, BUT it is leftover baked ziti, so not terrible. ;)

    We are having BBQ pull pork from the slow cooker (looks like a theme today), coleslaw and baked sweet potatoes....would love to make a loaf of homemade bread, but not sure that will happen or not. Ugggg meetings!

    ascherer - I'd say if you want rare meat- keep it out of the slow cooker! :-)

    HI to ALL !
    what a day yesterday ! tornadoes were close - friends have damage .
    Today/tonight : I am fixing for the tornado victims and those helping them cleanup.
    right now I have planned:
    fried chicken , pulled pork bbq , potato salad , baked beans , coleslaw , sandwich rolls , cookies or brownies ( maybe some kind of cake ?) .
    Of course ice and water are big needs

    Last night was a pasta dinner at church. I was in charge of cooking the noodles so I made spaghetti for 50 people. Thanks for the Kroger sale last week it only cost me $3 :-)

    Tonight no one is home, myself included, so dinner is packed dinners from leftovers throughout the week with fresh fruits and veggies we keep on hand.

    Faye - it does. We always grill ours. DH is a redder the better guy. I'm a medium person. Both schools of thought are right with a tougher cut of meat like London broil. Thanks

    ascherer - London broil needs to cook for a long time on low in the slow cooker so it is not tough. I cook it with whatever sauce I want that day (I am doing BBQ beef today with honey BBQ sauce, garlic powder, pepper and onions) on low for 8 hours. Once done, it will fall apart and will be easy to pull apart for sandwiches. If you want your meat to be pink, the slow cooker won't work for London broil. You are better off grilling it. I hope that helps! :-)
