mvanduyne87- that's a great idea to put the cheese slice in the bowl first and pour the soup over it. Now I am craving beef stew. :-)

RFB - let us know how you like it.

Ascherer, one of the best purchases I ever made was a second bowl and paddle for my Kitchenaid mixer. There are several recipes I make that call for beaten egg whites to be folded into another batter, so having the second bowl made it so much easier. Santa may even find those things on sale this week as I've noticed lots of KA stuff on sale for the holidays.

I'm hoping tonight will be baked ziti. Still trying to get out to the store....

    Happy almost Friday everyone! :)

Beef vegetable stew. Got the veggies at HT for .97, the Hunt's dinner starter for .94 and the stew meat for about $5. I also got a loaf of French bread to eat with it, only $1. It's all in the crock pot (except the bread, of course) and waiting for me when I get home tonight :-) I like to put a slice of Swiss cheese in the bottom of my bowl and pour the stew on top so it melts... soo good!

Faye- you can choose between a few things, but all slow cooker with chicken or pulled pork. I'm doing the Coq au Vin!

It's tofu night! I'm sure the caravan will be stopping at my house first. lol

We are having sesame ginger tofu, rice and sauteed zucchini, mushrooms and onions. I had planned tofu earlier in the week but it didn't happen. It is definitely on for tonight. I'm going to make it in the new cast iron skillet. Can't wait to heat it up high so it gets nice and crispy on the outside.

RFB - what's on their menu tonight? I am sure it will be delicious!

ascherer - doesn't it feel great to get those care packages out? And everyone will be so happy when they arrive!

We're going to give the Fresh Market Little Big Meal a try. Their options sound really good this week.
