Kathy S - BLT's sounds good. Maybe I'll amend my grilled cheese to include some turkey bacon. Thanks for the idea.

Thinking soup and sandwich also. Probably chicken veggie made from base of my chicken bone broth. Maybe BLT's also.

I think I'm going to steal the soup and sandwich idea. Just not sure what kind of soup. Maybe a corn and broccoli chowder.

Raesmom Aldi had poms on sale last week for around $0.59 each. Not sure if they have them this week.

I'll have to check out the pom sauce recipe. Sounds good!

ascherer - good advice on storm safety! Thank you. And I am willing to bet his games get rained out.

RFB - I did see that the apple muffin recipe was adapted from Cooking Light.

I know we are having the veggie soup for dinner tonight, but it's so good that I think I am going to go have some for lunch, too. lol

No clue what is for dinner tonight. I have to wait and see if DH softball double header gets rained out.

Everyone please be safe. With the rains we have already had and the rains we are expected to get (even without the hurricane) we will probably start seeing power outages at some point. The ground just can't take much more and even without any wind we may have trees falling. At minimum make sure all electronics have a full power supply, fresh water and food, flashlights with extra batteries, warm clothes etc. Also remember your pets - they may be wet, cold, and hungry too.

Faye- I thought you might! I remember you saying you enjoy Cooking Light magazine, and she adapted several of her recipes from there :-)

RFB - I just looked at the http://notenoughcinnamon.com/ website and I LOVE her recipes! I want to try the skinny apple spice muffins this weekend. Thanks for the link.

I actually did go for a walk early this morning. It was just lightly misting when I left but was a very heavy drizzle by the time I go back to the house 30 min later. So glad I brought the umbrella. Needless to say, everything but my head was damp. lol But I figured it may be raining too hard until Sunday to walk again so it was my best chance.

Last night I had a twice baked baked potato with some creative toppings :)

We are headed out of town this weekend (only coincidence that we get to miss the flooding!) so tonight is leftover baked spaghetti and garlic toast from earlier this week.
