Thanks for the recipe - I will dream of brownies tonight and get the stuff tomorrow or Saturday .
What brand of chocolate chips do you recommend ??
I may go with dark chocolate ones - our new favorite ( and they are bigger too )

Thanks for the welcome home everyone!

Here is the brownie recipe. My tweaks follow: www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/fudge-brownies-recipe

*I added 1 lb of walnuts (whole, not chopped)

*I used Ghirardelli unsweetened cocoa (available at HT - don't look at the price)

*I used a whole bag of semisweet chocolate chips, so maybe more than 2 cups

*I lined the entire pan with Reynold's nonstick foil (in the yellow box) with plenty of overhang so you can just lift the whole thing out when cool and not have to wash the pan!

*I also found I had to bake them a good 15 minutes longer than the recipe called for, but I was using my Dad's oven and I don't know its quirks. The brownies should be pulling away from the side of the pan when they are done. I also used the toothpick test, although that's a bit dicey with so many chips.

*Cool COMPLETELY before trying to remove from pan. Also, they taste 3 times as good the next day.

    Enjoy! :) :) :)

Jdouglas, the fast is FINALLY over!!! Legal Seafood is AWESOME!! I'm southern born and bred, but my DH is from Mass....LOVE going there!!! Please post the brownie recipe!

YES to the brownies recipe, Jdouglas!! And welcome home!

Lasata - I have never broiled chicken breast. I have made it every other way I think, but not broiled. You can check allrecipes.com for a broiled chicken recipe and see if there is a similar one. They have a recipe for everything! I understand about the chicken thighs - I do not care for them either. :-)

While I was away, I stumbled across The Very Best Brownie Recipe ever. I already thought I had the best recipe. The new one is beyond beyond beyond perfection. A little fudgy, a little cakey, a beautiful crackly top, and studded with lots of walnuts and chocolate chips. Y'all let me know if you want me to post the recipe or to bake some! :)

My sincerest apologies to Cdavis for posting this while you're fasting! :(

Lasata, are you talking bone in or boneless chicken breast? I think you could get away with it bone in, but it might dry out really fast if boneless. Tell us more about the recipe and I'll be glad to help tweak it if you like.

All those dinners are sounding mighty good everyone!! And I'm hungry and tired. Faye, 6:30 you said? ;)

Finally got home LATE last night. Missed my flight by 10 minutes because my bus was an hour and a half late to the airport. Props to Jet Blue for putting me on the next flight with no hassle and no additional charge. I ended up having dinner at the airport, and since I was in Boston, how could I not go to Legal Seafood (a landmark there). I had delicious fried calamari and a Caesar salad for dinner. My poor DW, who had to go to the airport TWICE to pick me up, had potato chips. Therefore, we are going to have a special dinner for her tonight: porterhouse steak on the grill, baked potatoes, and a nice salad with blue cheese crumbles. (to be continued)
