    Faye - thanks.

ascherer - I make them the lazy way but everyone still loves them! lol Roast beef for the meat and French onion soup for the dip. I put the meat and cheese (usually provolone) on Bollilo rolls and put them in the oven open faced to melt the cheese. Then dip in the soup.

RFB - I do hope he is feeling better soon. You can not get comfortable doing anything with cracked ribs.

Faye - How do you make the meat and dip for your French dip? I haven't had a really good one in a long time.

barbiedoll1967 - there should be a law against being up at 4:30 am. lol I am up between 5:30 am and 6 am on school days and that is still way too early. Enjoy your mac & cheese. :-)

And Nakabi - what a great deal on the limes!

RFB - I hope your hubby gets better soon. Nakabi, I hope you get some sleep tonight. I'm up early every morning so I feel your pain. I'm going to be lazy tonight and just fix some mac-n-cheese.

Oh my RFB - I am so sorry about your hubby. I hope he is feeling better very soon.

And Nakabi - I hope you get little more sleep tonight! 4:30 am is WAAAAAAAY too early for me. Your chuck roast with veggies does sound good though!

Tonight we are having French dip sandwiches, baked sweet potato fries from a past sale/coupon deal, green beans and apple slices (for the child who does not like green beans....)

Raesmom- or, you could make some banana chocolate chip pancakes! They were always a favorite at the B&B I worked at!

And thanks... crazy stuff... he actually slipped going down the stairs in our house. I saw the whole thing from the couch, he got major air, and landed on his ribs... slid down and couldn't move. I thought he was paralyzed. Thank God, he started moving after about 5 minutes. He's ok, but the doc thinks he has some cracked ribs. Just grateful it wasn't worse than it was... and a reminder to wear good slippers in the house at all times (not slipery socks!!!)

Nakabi- pot roasts are always so homey and delicious! And sorry on your no sleep. I'm with you... my DH had an accident over the weekend, so he's been up all night these last 4 nights... and so have I :-(

Tonight I'm making meatloaf in muffin pans (just bought a silicone pan, and I'm excited to try it out). And on the side, a sauté of scallions, spinach and peas, and also some roasted parsnips (was very happy to finally find some good ones at HT).
