Ascherer-maybe stuff them with mozzarella cheese, sundried tomatoes, and bacon next time? I would mix EVOO and melted butter and crushed garlic to baste on top. I would also season the dough before rolling it

Well I had a change of plans because I didn't make it to the store. I made mini-monkey breads using crescents. I cut them into pieces and rolled them into balls. Then I rolled them in an EVOO, crushed rosemary, fresh cracked pepper, and a little garlic powder. I put them in a muffin pan to bake. They came out pretty good but still need a little work.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will see what I can find (hopefully on sale).

Tonight we are having sesame teriyaki tofu and vegetables, veggie egg rolls and rice. I was debating about dinner all morning and then went to Lowes Foods to pick up a few deals. They had some Nasoya tofu marked down to .99 per package (expires in a few days) and I had $1/2 coupons making them .49 each!! That's a steal for tofu! I am cooking up 4 containers tonight and we will enjoy it tomorrow (and probably the next day) for lunch.

jdouglas13 - thinking of you all as well. :-) And that CVS candy deal was great!

bjmholmes3 - I have had the candy hidden in my office since Monday and they did not even know it was there. I took it out this afternoon so my 13 yr old and I could make some goodie bags for friends and she made her own goodie bag for tomorrow. She was very happy with that little activity! I made one for myself as well..... Clearly I bought the good stuff. LOL Surprisingly, I didn't even eat any while we were making them. Something is obviously wrong with me today. :-

Thanks so much for the good thoughts, everyone. I can't tell you how much it means to me.

Dad decided he wanted eggs and bacon for dinner. My sister and I will have some of the leftover spaghetti and meatballs from the other night.

My Dad has already polished off at least a bag of Halloween candy, and his eyes lit up when I told him CVS had a deal this week and I had a $6/30 coupon. Since there are no black jelly beans for Halloween (although there really should be!), the candy doesn't tempt me much.

Bjholmes-thanks for the sweet compliments! My cooking is pretty simple. If you ever want a recipe for anything I make just let me know.
I don't eat candy or most sweet things so I don't keep candy in the house. My husband does have a sweet tooth though so I try to help him lol. He has a cavity that needs filling. I've never had one; I'm pretty strict with my dental hygiene (just ask my kids lol). A couple pieces of your candy won't kill you-moderation is key lol. And just make sure you brush and floss lol.
