Jdouglas- I'm with you... I finally made a huge spreadsheet of everything we have in the pantry/freezer, and are trying to use it all up. It's been fun taking a break from the every day shopping! :-)

It feels like I haven't been grocery shopping in forever, at least for perishables, and the fridge sure shows it! Not a veg in sight. Hopefully tomorrow we'll get out and restock.

Last night ended up being breakfast for dinner - pancakes and breakfast sausage. Tonight is going to be spaghetti and meatballs. I found a bag of meatballs I had made previously in the freezer, so they will be saving the day. I always have a good stockpile of pasta, canned tomatoes, and parm.

Nakabi, your pizza sounds delicious. I really have to make some dough. We haven't had pizza since DW's dental problems started a few months ago. Maybe tomorrow we'll have white pizza with crispy prosciutto.

Mon Account - your sandwich sounds very good. I love teriyaki tofu so I am pretty sure I would love a teriyaki tempeh sandwich as well. Enjoy!

I dont know what i would do with out tomatoes in my life LOL!!!!

Tonight is date night for the hubs and I (first time in forever) of course we are using a groupon for Goodnights comedy club. It comes with one appetizer to share. So excited!! :)

Glad your car is better Faye!!! Hope your dad is feeling well too!

I stumbled on a Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich recipe that I'll sub tempeh for the chicken. First time attempt :)

Basically marinate & prepare the protein, then put it on a sandwich roll (I get mine from the store bakery), top with a slice of provolone, red onion, lettuce and I think I'll toss on some mayo - goes really well with Teriyaki.

I have a mango from yesterday that will make an excellent side salad when tossed with a little lime juice and minced serrano chile - savory, sweet and spicy all on one plate!

Wildrenchrose- I know... it's very irritating as I love them! Something to do with beta-carotene, I'm thinking :-(

That's a new one--never heard of an itchy throat from a tomato! I know one person who hates them so bad, she won't eat anything that has even been touched by a cut tomato--although she loves marinara and ketchup. Says it's the seeds....

Faye- thanks! I only like Brussels roasted, and that's a new like of mine :-) Maybe you could try broccoli, instead! And glad your car is back and running well!

Wildfrenchrose- I love chicken sandwiches- sounds delicious! And tomatoes are still one fruit (or veggie!), I can't eat... they still make my throat itch :-(

RFB - interesting side dish. I am not a fan of brussels sprouts, but the rest sounds delicious.

wildfrenchrose - just like they reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet, I think that the tomato should get to be a vegetable, seeds or not. :-)
