Gator Girl... I almost hate to admit this, but I'm addicted to the dipping sauce at Trader Joes. It's very inexpensive, and it's bright pink, sweet and just the right spice... delicious!!! Now, I just use that with fried dumplings but for steamed, I typically just use low-sodium soy sauce with a bunch of green onions cut up in it.

    Billy- that steak sounds wonderful!

Faye- I agree on the sweet potatoes. I got some delivered last week from an organic produce service, and I couldn't believe how great they were. They were a different variety- can't remember the name, but they were more of a red color. But even the ones at HT are wonderful.

Dinner tonight is baked tilapia with tomatoes and spinach.

Nakabi, that sounds so fun :)

Faye, I love sweet potatoes, but hate the way they turn out when I "try" preparing them. Marshmallows all the way!

Gator Girll - that is such a tasty sounding chicken salad recipe!

My sweet potato casseroles are all ready to go into the oven. The sweet taters are so goo this time of year. They are incredibly sweet. One casserole has a coconut and pecan topping and one with marshmallow topping., Can you guess which one my daughters prefer? lol

RFB - I am addicted to steamed dumplings! I don't have a recipe for a dipping sauce. Do you make one?

  • nakabi Mar 6, 2014

gator girll & RFB-both those meals sound delicious!

I took some ground chicken out of the freezer last night (past HT sale) so I think I'll add some onion, fennel, carrot, ginger, spinach and soy sauce and then fry up in Won Ton wrappers as Chinese dumplings.

Nakabi- sounds like so much fun!!!

Faye & CSilver- both of your dinners sound delicious!

We're having chicken salad supreme (recipe from Kroger) that has mandarin oranges, red grapes, celery, and toasted slivered almonds. That will be served over a chopped Asian salad.

I tried to be smart last night and make dinner for today. Made a soup with some frozen chicken thighs canned tomatos, corn, green beans, corn and potatoes
