jdouglas- thanks, I'll check at WF! :-)

Fairly cheap dinner tonight- shrimp bogo at Food lion (bought them a few weeks ago). .02 cent rice from Food Lion last week (got a coupon at the kiosk for .75 off and it was .77 cents) Campbell's skillet creations (sesame flavored free at a HT super doubles). Frozen vegetables I got free or almost free at some sale! LOL. And a .39 cent cucumber from aldi's. Plus I enough for my lunch tomorrow! I love cheap dinners! :-)

RFB, I thought I saw it at HT at one point. They may spell it differently like filo or fillo. Have you looked at WF? I bet they have it.

Speaking of phyllo... where can one find it around here? I've worked with it in the past, but couldn't even find it at HT. I have the most amazing pumpkin pie phyllo sticks recipe that I still want to try :-)

Roasted whole chicken tonight with a quartered lemon, a halved head of garlic, and a sprig of rosemary stuffed into the cavity. This is the last of my whole chicken stash from the last $0.79/lb HT sale, which was so long ago, I don't even remember when it was. Roasted sweet potatoes on the side, possibly in the drippings from the chicken, and something green to the delight of my veggie-hating DW. ;)

lkkersh, I would LOVE your baklava recipe! I think I could do it with puff pastry. Phyllo just intimidates me.

We are having a chicken casserole like this one only with lots of fresh veggies (red pepper, mushrooms, carrots, onions)

Sides are rolls and green salad

lkkersh - that baklava sounds fabulous!

llkresh - Can you share your morroccan eggplant recipe?

I am making tomato soup in the crock pot, from canned tomatoes I bought on a good sale a few weeks ago and some onions and garlic I have on hand...and I threw in the rest of the cherry tomatoes that were near the end of their freshness. Maybe I'll make grilled cheese to go with it.

    ikkersh- that does sound delicious!

My DH has been asking for a pot roast so got one on sale at FL today along w/sale potatoes, and carrots are always cheap :-)
