Kraft Recipe Makers New England Pot Roast sauce update. It was good, but I like my usual stroganoff recipe better.

The Kraft sauce (especially the finishing sauce at the end) was too strong for me. I actually ended up adding a can of cream of mushroom soup with about 1/4 cup flour as a thickener to the the gravy to cream it up a bit. It helped alot. Everyone liked it but my youngest and I decided we like my stroganoff better (beef broth, sour cream and flour for the gravy). I would not buy it again but if you like a strong beef stew gravy, you may like it. It may have been better if I had only added 1/2 the finishing sauce.

wildfrenchrose....surprisingly it's nothing too fancy but I don't have it memorized so i'll try to dig it out of my recipe binder and post. Didn't mean to tease

Gator Girll... it's my favorite comfort food. Toast topped w/turkey slices, then a creamy white sauce and criss crossed w/two pieces of bacon...mmmm!!!

Shredded chicken in the crock pot with leftover salsa I found in the fridge and a packet of taco seasoning (free @ HT triples). Throw that plus refried black beans, Seeds of Change organic Spanish rice (good deal with SDs @ HT awhile ago), organic tomato (rang up free at HT, don't know how or why), sliced black olives (good deal at one of the HT coupon events awhile back), and sour cream in the El Paso Stand & Stuff shells (free at HT triples last week)! Yum!

RFB - Never made hot browns. Is it like an open face turkey sandwich?

Porchetta isn't scheduled to be there :-( Love pork! If you ever go to Jason's Deli, try the Drunken Porkbelly Sandwich--YUM.
