Thanks Faye she was able to leave the house today so she is definitely better, but not 100% as she took a nap today (that hasn't happened in years!! Lol)

To make it easy we had tacos with all the fixings for dinner and cinnamon rolls for dessert.

Last night I ended up making balsamic chicken and I made a lot. Tonight we are having chicken tacos with the leftover chicken and all the taco fillings. Side of steamed carrots.

raesmom1612 - "extra girly" does not sound like a pleasant thing for you. I hope Rae is starting to feel better.

GJan1 - no shame in enjoying some famous Lexington BBQ!

Raesmom - so sorry to hear about Rae! :(

Observant, enjoy your bounty! You will be enjoying this winter for sure.

Last night was M&C, roasted broccoli, after our day of running around. I'm hoping the weather holds tonight. If so, it will be burgers on the grill. Corn off the cob for a side? It's too hot today to do much of anything.

observant - how wonderful to receive that much from a friend!

  • observant Jul 8, 1:22 p.m.

Faye - family friend gave me the corn . Some has been fixed as corn-on-the cob but most has been cut off and cooked "cream style" for meals or in recipes/soups.

raesmom1612 - bummer on the ear infection. I hope she is feeling better very soon!

observant - 100 ears of corn?? You will have an awesome overstock for the next many months! Did you grow it or buy it?
