raesmom1612 - Congrats to Rae on her big Pre-K graduation! And how nice that your mom and sister come to see it! I hope they have a good flight home.

Hey y'all! Phew it's good to finally sit down. I have been on the go since Wednesday night. Mom and sissy came to town to see Rae at her Pre-K graduation!! Wednesday was BAKED ZITI (Sissy's request) Thursday was golden corral and left over ziti, Friday we went to Myrtle Beach and it was a quick day trip so I made corn chowder when we got home (Mom's request) and yesterday we had Rae's graduation BBQ in the yard with burger's, hotdogs, chips and all the fixin's. Tonight mom and sissy are leaving. We took them to the food truck rodeo this afternoon and they have to be at the airport by 7 so dinner for us when I get back from dropping them off is baked ravioli with shredded cheese over top. Served with salad and garlic bread.

Y'all have inspired me to make Thanksgiving in June too! Ill have to ask DH to make stuffing for me and I'll have to see if I can find a turkey breast and make some corn and Mac and cheese....my mouth is watering already!!

No idea yet - going easy as possible tonight but still serve a hot meal before DH goes to work .
I have everything for tacos or pizza . Also thinking of the stuffed peppers TWINREDHEADS mentioned ...

twinredheads - great dinner! Those Kroger multi-color peppers are delicious. We have been cutting them up and eating them with hummus.

Last night we went to Vin Rouge in Durham for Triangle Restaurant Week. It was fantastic and totally worth the splurge. The Shrimp & Mussels Provencal appetizer was delicious (and swimming in a buttery garlic sauce that was to die for). The Sautéed NC Trout with a spiced yogurt dollop was amazing. And the chocolate torte......oh my. Give me a moment. ;-) Our waitress, Natalie, was wonderful. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a new restaurant to try in the Triangle.

Not sure about dinner tonight yet. Maybe veggie pizza.

Grilled salmon, steamed broccoli and baked potatoes. Not sure about tomorrow night. Maybe stuffed bell peppers. Bought several beautiful peppers on sale at Kroger today.

observant - oh my - that's a super deal on the turkey breast! I also make a turkey breast a few times a year. It really is a great protein.
I love homemade dressing but don't make it more than a couple times a year because I love it too much. lol
I am definitely going to look for a good turkey breast deal since I am drooling over your dinner. :-D

Faye - Enjoy your dinner !!
    - DH is working this weekend so home-cooked meals are the best we can do .
We love turkey and fixings' too ! I cook a turkey or turkey breast several times a year- they are very frugal , easy to fix , and healthy if you don't over-eat (LOL)
I am personally looking forward to the fresh veggies too .
I forgot to say the turkey breast was on clearance at Kroger ( $.49/lb ) earlier this year .

observant - I love Thanksgiving in June! Your dinner sounds totally fabulous!

Tonight we are going out somewhere for Triangle Restaurant Week, but I have no idea where yet.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

turkey breast in the slow cooker - sides of green beans , fresh corn, DH's mashed potatoes , my sweet potatoes and maybe stuffing . I will use the leftovers for quick suppers next week when it is too hot to cook a large meal .
    Enjoy your weekend !!
