ThomasG - homemade pineapple upside down cake sounds fabulous!

coupon4me - that's a great idea on the fridge clean up. I have been doing the same thing accidentally. I did not have a lot of time to grocery shop the last 2 weeks so we have been eating out of the pantry and fridge/freezer and I realized tonight that I really need to go to the store in the next couple days for some more fresh fruit and veggies!

Faye - Thanks for the recipe ! We will be giving this a try soon .

Today - grilled chicken , corn on the cob , coleslaw, & homemade pineapple upside down cake

We did burgers on the grill tonight with green beans and pasta. Tomorrow to finish off my fridge clean up we'll make Bob Evans sausages with eggs and cheese on the HT .77 rolls I got on evic. Well each have that with cherry tomatoes (also evic) and an orange.

ThomasG - I used a red sauce (Bertolli tomato and basil) and I doctored it up with sauteed onions, red peppers, spinach, Vidalia onions, and minced garlic. Then I added pepper, more garlic powder and Italian seasoning. I mixed the penne pasta in to the sauce and then layered the pasta and sauce with layers of provolone, Italian cheese mix and parm (from HT Buy 2 Get 3 Sale recently). It's so delicious and we will have plenty of leftovers for Sunday night.

    Enjoy your pizza night!

ThomasG - enjoy pizza and game night. We rarely eat meatballs and since DH is working on my landing/steps (to replace a fraction of our deck), I can't ask him to grill tonight.

ASCHERER - My crowd would scream meatballs or grilled burgers ! LOL

Faye - your baked Italian pasta sounds delicious with all the veggies - do you use a tomato based sauce or a cheese sauce ??

We decided to grill tomorrow so I could clean the grill and patio today
So PIZZA PARTY tonight - DVDs and/or board games
    Enjoy your Saturday !

Tonight I think we'll have a baked Italian pasta bake with spinach, mushrooms, onions, garlic and red peppers.

ascherer - sounds like you had a crazy week. I hope your weekend is more calm.

ThomasG - I hope the stormy weather holds off until you finish grilling (although the pizza night sounds great as well)!

This was a week full of "the best laid plans of mice and men." Now I have 3lbs of hamburger in the fridge that has to get used. Tonight will be Manwiches (finally) with tator toes and veggie strips. Tomorrow will be meatloaf with sides TBD.

    Everyone have a great weekend.
