RAESMOM1612- Hope you get to feeling better. Warm salt water gargles. If that doesn't work, warm lemonade with rum. I'm not sure if the later has any real medicinal properties or if enough just makes you not care! LOL.

Saturday - Mint Julep during Kentucky Derby then off to the new Hickory Tavern in Holly Springs with family. Food was great. Long wait trying to wait for a (or maybe THE booth). Finally took a table after over an hour waiting. Back was doing better after epidural last week, but I'm afraid it is wearing off. Over did it the last few days- SUPER DOUBLES! FYI - Their chairs are cushioned and I added my own little cushion. Wanted Salmon but theirs is farm raised and I only eat wild caught.
NY Strip was excellent and best sweet potato fries ever. They have a dipping sauce for the fries. A yummy honey butter. We were celebrating multiple birthdays plus early Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to all fellow mother's of this blog.
A Special Happy Mother's Day to Faye who mothers all of us. Sunday - Snacked on various Super Doubles buys.
Got my Collier's Welsh Cheddar, but haven't tried it yet. Oh, also had a Sausage and "folded egg" on English Muffin from Mickey D's with a Mocha Frappe.

I had to work the Marbles kid museum's bike rodeo so we spent most of our Saturday downtown. The weather was super cool when I got there at 9 am and I had open toe shoes on as well as no jacket.....it caught up to me.....I woke up this morning with no voice!!!! My throat is killing me!!! We came home and I warmed up a bit and made pasta with homemade meatballs and sauce.

Tonight is leftovers and Rae wants to make "cakes" so I'll see what I have down there prepackaged because I don't have the energy (or the voice) to make something from scratch.

    Enjoy the day yall!! :)

Tonight was supposed to be a nice diner out but after doing the Ladies program at Convention and then staying to help set up for the hospitality room, I am wiped out. My pillow is calling me, My nice dinner out is hopefully coming soon. Maybe Sunday?
