coupon4me - Great job on keeping your meal frugal! what is a tomato pie?

  • coupon4me Apr 1, 1:13 p.m.

We'll be having beef skewers with asparagus and a tomato pie. The beef was 3.00 a lb a few weks ago a Ht tomatoes on markdown and the asparagus is from the .99 lb sale at Kroger last week. Frugal!!!

RaleighFoodBlogger - you really are back to foodie-land! Great weekend menu! And you had me at blackberry crumble!

ascherer - Awesome deal on dinner with the SB gift card!! And your dinner tonight sounds excellent!

raesmom1612 - so sorry you are sick! Kids are so wonderful about sharing all their germs. :-) Hopefully you can enjoy the wedding. Banana bread sounds delicious. Emma made us apple/carrot bread last night and it was AMAZING! I was so impressed. And she used Greek yogurt instead of oil so it was pretty healthy. We have already begged her to make it again. When Rae is a teenager, I bet she will be baking for you all the time.

I missed the no cook Thursday and Friday by posting but I was totally with y'all. We had leftover spaghetti on Thursday and went out last night to Applebee's. With little ziti being sick last week I knew it was just a matter of time before someone else was sick......And it me :( hopefully this Mucinex will work quickly!

Tonight we are headed to a wedding so no cooking for me again. Ordering pizza for the girls and the sitter.

Tomorrow I have to volunteer at Marbles so maybe leftover pizza. Rae requested to make banana bread so we will do that for dessert.

I guess I got my foodie inspiration back! Up early this morning cooking a rice and beans dish for my husband's lunches the next 5 days, and a blackberry crumble for dessert. Tonight will be balsamic roasted carrots, roasted baby potatoes and chicken cheddar sausage. Tomorrow is shrimp and tomato pasta. Happy weekend everyone!

We joined everyone else in the no cook Thursday and Friday. Friday we did use a swagbucks certificate Friday night. Our total after it was $0.55 and tip. You just have to love that.

Tonight we are grilling steaks from the freezer. Sides will be loaded baked potatoes and sugar snap peas.
