I'm finally home and can cook again. Dinner tonight is a ham steak, baked sweet potato and butter beans.

Tonight it's chicken enchiladas, rice and a side salad.

RaleighFoodBlogger - what great suggestions for my next pot roast! Anything that makes it taste better AND makes it easier to prep makes me happy!

Lindabates- I'm so sorry to hear this. Sending hugs and prayers your way.

Yesterday I made a pot roast (on sale HT) with carrots and potatoes. I've never cooked one that was on the bone, and it came out much more flavorful! I've also switched over to just throwing in the yukon gold baby potatoes and organic baby carrots instead of peeling the larger ones. Also a more tasty change :) We'll have that again tonight- yum!

Lindabates, Grandparents are so special! I do imagine Heaven is celebrating his arrival. Blessings and love to you and your family.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss, Lindabates.

    Sorry for your loss LINDABATES.
Girls are going out to dinner with friends, DH is probably having a smoothie or mashed potatoes and I am leaning toward garlic shrimp on salad greens.

I am so very sorry about your grandpa, Lindabates. You and your whole family are in my thoughts.

I believe tonight is the 1st night I've cooked all week... my grandpa was sick and passed on Wednesday so I've been on the road alot the past few days.... tonight: Fried Chicken, mash potatoes and green beans.

That sounds good! I would not have thought to put croutons in soup, but it's totally a natural. French onion soup anyone? ;)

Last night we ended up with tuna sandwiches for dinner, so, weather permitting, we will have what I planned for last night -- burgers on the grill, gnocchi, green beans. Thank you my Little Princess of Naughty for sharing your green beans with Mama. :)

What's everyone else doing for dinner?
