YBaverage, that sounds really good! Tonight is our London broil on the grill. I've been looking forward to it all day. :)

Found an interesting deal at HT Flowers earlier today -- Palazzino fresh mozzarella balls were B1G2 ($5.99 for 3). We're having Caprese salad along with tonight's steak.

Dinner request was made for tonight: roast beef, garlic mashed potatoes, salad & a peanut butter pie for dessert. Sounds like I will be cooking all afternoon (after I hit the store :P )

I had no idea about that event Faye. Is that the one on Blue Ridge? Sounds like a fun time!!

Tonight will either be dinner out or leftovers for us......to bad no more wine for me lol

I'll have to look at the bottle and post the name. Something I never heard of. The lady that was giving us free tastings suggested it. Not sure that I would buy it again, I'll stick to my Duplin Hatteras Red :)

I think tonight may be a food truck evening. The NC Museum of Art is having an outdoor exhibit with giant inflatable bunnies, food truck, REI demonstrations and more and I think my youngest and I may venture out that way at some point today. If we do, there is a food truck in my meal plan. :-) If we don't eat there, we are having spaghetti, salad and garlic bread.

And the pumpkin cheesecake from Aldi was delicious. I am thinking of getting another one to have on hand during the holidays. For $7.99, it s a great price for a full size (8 piece pre-cut) cheesecake and really tastes great.

Thanks for the frugal beverage ideas ascherer and jdouglas13!

twinredheads - Yay for baked ziti!!

Had stuffed acorn squash. Tomorrow will probably be baked ziti with garlic bread and green salad.

Frugal Adult Beverages - Cases of Yuengling beer that HT put on my e-Vic Weekend special for $13.97. So 24 drinks for $13.97.

Dinner is pizza. That will probably be tomorrow dinner also.

DW and I had our date tonight with the Groupon. We had an early reservation so we could get home before the deer starting going wild. The food was nothing, but the company was lovely, and she's pouring me a nice cup of coffee as I type.

ThomasG - yum! I should make apple something tomorrow. Pie sounds delicious.

Frugal adult beverages? HT often has the 1.5 litre Glen Ellen chardonnay that I use for cooking for around $8.99 or so. Smells good, makes the food good, so I imagine it tastes good too... but so does Johnny Walker Red label, and that is definitely not frugal. ;)
