So yesterday ended up being Spanish rice and beans with Spanish style pork chops.

Faye the winner was.........lasagna lol just pulled it out of the oven so waiting for it to cool off. I feel like I've abandoned my family from a good three course meal so I went all out and made a salad with red onions, peppers, cucumbers, bacon bits, shred cheese, green peas and corn, Garlic bread, the lasagna, and brownies with pecans mixed in and slivered almonds on top. After I eat I'll be ready for bed :)

Good luck with the tuna twinredheads!!

Hope you enjoyed the takeout RFB.......our next date night take out is gonna be sushi and I can't wait!!!!

GATOR GIRLL- that chili sounds delicious! And Faye- love the idea of buffalo chicken won tons!

Yesterday we ended up ditching our menu and going for Mexican takeout due to one of those "when it rains it pours" weeks- UGH. Leftovers today :)

Tonight we are having buffalo chicken won tons, steamed carrots, steak fries.

Last night's gelato was a fabulous dinner. lol

Gator Girll - your chicken chili sounds delicious and perfect for these cooler days!

Yesterday we had a wedding to go to so we atend there.... tonight I'm fixing baked pork chops, squash and onions, rice and biscuits.

I made a white chicken chili last night and served it with a little sour cream, sliced green onions, and Monterrey Jack cheese as garnish and tortilla chips with a hint of lime to dip. We'll have some of the leftovers tonight. Tomorrow night we will have Mongolian Beef with sautéed green onions and green pepper and serve it over stir fried rice noodles.

COUPON4ME - I too have the ingredients for split pea soup (besides the ham I add onion, celery, carrots and potatoes) and will more than likely fix it sometime next week. I think it was all the rain we had last week that put me in the mood for comfort food!

Baked stuffed tomatoes!!!! I'm in love jdouglas!!!!

Enjoy your froyo Faye you deserve it :)

I've got a craving for pasta so its either going to be spaghetti, baked ziti, lasagna or homemade meatballs and sauce. I have some veggies that are used it or lose it status so they will be mixed in whatever sauce I make. Salad and garlic bread on three side.

If I can find some cheap ripe banana's while we are out today we will make banana muffins, if not peanut butter cookies will serve as dessert.

I'm ready for crockpot dinners too coupon4me!! It's Rae's favorite too because she gets to dump everything in the pot lol.

    Hooray for the sun!!!!!

I totally should have made this last week with the weather- but in looking through the freezer I saw a ham bone I had frozen, so I have split pea soup in the crockpot. It always makes a ton, so we will eat that for days!

Of course it does! Have fun! :)

I have absolutely no idea what's for dinner. It looks really nice out, though -- SOOOOOOOO happy to see the SUN! Maybe something on the grill? I do have a glut of romaine hearts, so maybe salad, as well as tomatoes from the farmer's market -- maybe baked stuffed tomatoes?

What's everyone else doing for dinner?

  • Faye Prosser -WRAL Smart Shopper Sep 24, 12:07 p.m.

It's a no cooking night for me! Out with friends for froyo. That counts as dinner right?? ;-)
