Well, you know I can never stick to a menu, so last night's dinner was: none of the above! LOL But, they are all ideas for the coming week.

We did a little grocery shopping at HT and thankfully I bought some deli so we had sandwiches for dinner. Wow, it was hot!! Knocked us right out. Meredith, I can't imagine moving a thing in this weather!!

Tonight we are having a HT London broil on the grill that's been marinating in soy sauce, Worcestershire, EVOO, and garlic with potato salad on the side.

Tomorrow we are having a special friend over for dinner and I actually have a menu: shrimp scampi with pasta, garlic bread, nothing green (my friend is just like DW in that department), mini cannolis and, since I discovered she does like coffee if it's light and sweet, affrogatto. I probably destroyed the spelling of that, but basically it is a scoop of chocolate ice cream with a shot of espresso or coffee poured over it and topped with whipped cream and a little cinnamon.

Meredith - congrats to your husband if he just graduated! And Goodberry's for dinner sounds perfectly reasonable to me. :-)

Tonight is the last night with family and we are having Italian.

Friday night we went to a graduation party for my husband so dinner was grilled hamburgers with all the toppings, baked beans, every type of chip, fruit, and cookies. It was nice not to have to cook!

Last night after spending all day moving our stuff into storage :-/ we were both so tired from working in the heat all day that dinner was Goodberry's :-) Neither of us were even hungry but the cold custard was perfect!

With everything in boxes and out of the house I saved out exactly 1 baking sheet, 1 frying pan and a couple spatulas. I even forgot to save out a pot :-o Luckily I thought to pre-cook a few meals on Friday so tonight we are having Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches with peppers and onions. Sides either have to come out of a can or the freezer so I'm thinking fries or chips and maybe baked beans or canned fruit. We'll see!

Raesmom - we are having a great time. Thanks! And I hope you can relax on Sunday.

I'm fixing lemon chicken using some Perdue perfect portion chicken breasts that I picked up with a $2 coupon. We'll also have yellow squash and onions and green beans. Tomorrow night we're going to a movie and out for dinner.

JDOUGLAS - with this heat I'd go for egg salad.

I'm having a hard time deciding what to have for dinner tonight, and am not sure if we'll have a thunderstorm around dinner time with this heat.

    The contenders so far:

    (1) Breakfast for dinner with cinnamon raisin bread French toast and breakfast sausage links
    (2) Egg salad sandwiches
    (3) Pasta carbonara with broccoli or asparagus
    (4) Grilled chicken breasts with homemade potato salad

What's everyone doing for dinner tonight?
