gourmet buffet. Choice of tacos, beef stew or chili. I think I will have chili on salad with tortilla chips.

Gator Girll - I bet it did!

I have been craving subs lately so I may pick them up for dinner tonight. It's just my oldest daughter and I tonight and she thought that was a great idea. And I am pretty sure I have a coupon from the local coupon magazine that gets mailed every quarter. I'll serve watermelon (on sale at ALdi for $2.99) on the side.

Faye - the cous cous went very well with the sweet and sour pork last night.

jdouglas13 - I am so glad your back is getting better! Enjoy the London broil.

The BBQ chicken was a hit with my daughter's boyfriend. He came back for seconds and then had thirds a couple hours later!

I was working in our tiny veg garden Friday afternoon and when I was done, couldn't stand up straight -- until this morning! So last night we ended up with breakfast for dinner because I thought it would be easier than the previously planned menu. I don't think it was, but it was good. Breakfast sausage, English muffins, and cheese-tomato-mushroom omelets.

Tonight will be the now very-well marinated London broil on the grill with garlic bread and ??.

I put chicken breast in the Crock-Pot this morning with onion slices, mushrooms, garlic, pepper and honey BBQ sauce. I'll serve it fork pulled on French bread slices I scored for .19 a loaf at HT (on sale with $1 mark down sticker). Salad and watermelon slices on the side. HT rainbow sherbet for dessert (e-vic special for $1.47 this week at HT).

Gator Girll - I bet the cous cous would taste great with the sweet and sour pork.

ascherer - the crazy softball schedule has begun. You probably won't have a regular menu again for months. lol

Friday night was smoked sausage with peppers and onions and corn on the cob. Tonight I think I'll make sweet and sour pork with onion, peppers, pineapple, grape tomatoes and water chestnuts. My husband has trouble with rice so I'm debating whether to try barley or maybe cous cous instead. We'll have a tossed salad on the side. Tomorrow I'm thinking a mushroom and beef meatloaf and gravy with bacon au gratin potatoes.

Tonight is the leftover meatloaf, oven roasted potatoes, and sauteed onions & squash that I finally got to make Friday night. DH has been working late everyday he has not been playing softball. This too shall pass.

    Happy Saturday everyone.
