Last ended up being fend for yourself, so I figured I better cook something tonight. M&C with broccoli.

What's up with all this burning stuff? So not cool for anyone who like to enjoy nice weather, have a window open, or perhaps has a breathing problem to start with and ends up gasping just to get a breath. Just saying. Rant over. Cranky, gloomy mood today.

Wow, Faye, great deal on the rotisserie chicken :)

Tonight we are having rotisserie chicken (marked down at Walmart yesterday for $2.49!), baked potatoes and steamed broccoli.

observant - you are welcome for the nachos idea. They were yummy!

Kathy S - that sounds fabulous, Kathy! I am putting deviled eggs on the menu this week.

I had thought about grilling but my burn-happy neighbors decided to burn so much debris for so many hours that the entire front and back yards for many houses on the block filled with smoke and even our house smelled like smoke with all windows and doors closed. Not amused. Didn't grill. Enjoyed the nachos instead.

We grilled burgers today too !
I made baked beans and slaw .
we had a variety of burger toppings ( cheese , tomatoes, lettuce, onions, pickles to name a few) . hot fudge cake and ice cream for dessert

Was such a beautiful day that we bbq on the grill. Have enough hotdogs, ribs and chicken for a few days. Had hamburgers tonight with fresh green beans (LF @ $1.49lb last week), and salad. Boiled some eggs for deviled eggs for next meal.

Ascherer - Chili and cornbread sounds really good to me :)

Faye - Chicken nachos and salad sound yummy too!

Tonight I do not want anything that resembles Thanksgiving dinner type food....so I will be having chicken corn chowder (in a very small bowl) ;-)
