jdouglas13, I have actually gotten it free from friends and family members. Of course Hubby is in charge of picking the beans. The tomatoes were already picked for me. Am I blessed or what?

I bought one of the cooked pork loins HT had on special this week. They were $5.99 and my husband and I had one meal with veggies and had pork sandwiches twice. Frugal and tasty for the two of us.

Granoftwenty, the grilled bacon/cheese/tomato sandwich is definitely a favorite of mine! Yum! :) I'm grateful DW is eating, especially green things!

RFB, congrats on your move! Hope it goes smoothly. The Carrabas sounds really good. It's probably a good thing there isn't one close to me. ;)

Nanee Lion, where do you get your produce for canning?

Nanee Lion - Great deals on the shirts (and the peas)!

RFB - Good luck with the rest of the move. And I hope this coming week is much less stressful!

jdouglas13 - egg salad is a really good idea. I may make that for dinner tomorrow night.

Faye, I did find three tops for myself. Had a Birthday gift card from Belk's - that is my store for shopping for clothes. What can I say when the tops were $6.00 - $10.00 each?

The seafood was wonderful and a much needed restful meal with friends after cooking so much this week. I think Hubby is going to pick more peas tomorrow but what can I say? My granddaughter is helping him pick I this HOT weather and I will shell and freeze them. Still have some tomatoes to can too so another busy day tomorrow.

Glad you had some time off from cooking. Get some rest and enjoy your week.

    So you have a new place ! Buying/leasing ??

Faye- hope you enjoyed your night off from cooking last night! And your stir fry sounds delicious tonight!

Jdouglas- I think both sound delicious! But I'm with you on thinking that egg salad sandwich with BLT sounds really good!

And for tonight... we've eaten :-) It's been such a stressful and busy week (we're moving), so we ended up hitting up Carrabbas for our lunch/dinner. Well... they lost our phone to-go order, but quickly the manager said they'd get it ready ASAP-NO CHARGE. Nicest thing I've heard all week :-) And kudus to the Carrabbas on Capital Blvd. Love a company that goes the extra mile for their customers!!! And yes, my Chicken Bryan was delicious, as always!

Nanee Lion - Great deal on the peas !
I got a call about green beans -
We are going to check this afternoon - I will try and bribe the older grandchildren with homemade pizzas if they will help pick the beans . I will string and can the beans tonight or early tomorrow depending on my time and energy ! LOL
Jdouglas13 - GREAT to hear your DW 's appetite is GOOD !
I do open-faced bacon/tomato /cheese sandwiches ( toast to melt the cheese ) - the egg salad would be a nice change (minus the cheese ) !

Last night was mac & cheese with a side of sautéed broccoli, corn, and grape tomatoes. DW cleaned her plate much to my surprise! There was a lot of M&C left over, so that will make an appearance again in the next day or so.

Tonight is either Caesar salad with shrimp or BLT enhanced egg salad sandwiches. I saw something about the sandwich earlier this week and thought it sounded really good, especially for a hot night.

Nanee Lion - how nice that you had a night out with dinner AND shopping! I hope you found something nice for yourself. :-)

Everyone is out and about til later tonight so no cooking again this evening.

Tomorrow we are having stir-fry tofu, rice and green beans.
