turkey reruns ( turkey breast sliced over the stuffing/dressing with juices/gravy poured over top with sides of mashed potatoes, & green beans .
The rest of the turkey breast is packed for freezing - each package enough for a meal and a few sandwiches . One bag is the bits and pieces for turkey noodle soup ( when weather cools off ) or flavoring of other dishes ( I love it crumbled in tomato soup or over a salad )

JDOUGLAS13 - I believe Lowes Foods and Just Save carry the Argentine shrimp as well ! I will check this weeks ads when posted hoping for a sale !
I will be neat HT on Thursday so I may reward myself with some shrimp even without a sale !! my savings elsewhere will balance the budget)
I have bought the frozen bags the stores offer at BOGO or B2G3 and found some brands so salty the cats refused to eat them even the DIVA that will not come to meals sometimes unless you say shrimp !!!

Canes4ever, you definitely did NOT post the Krispy Kreme deal in the wrong thread! LOL Thanks for the heads up. I couldn't quite justify eating 2 dozen doughnuts between DW and myself before they got stale, so I passed on the deal on Friday. Not that we couldn't, just that we shouldn't. ;) Too bad you can't freeze doughnuts!

Faye, so happy to see you back! Working on vacation is not vacation. Glad you forgot your laptop.

Losltp, I used to live in Apex, now I'm out near the HT in Clayton. I'm up for a run for a good deal on tomatoes any time though! :) DW is used to my unusual jaunts. Regarding the shrimp, do try the Argentine peeled and deveined shrimp that HT has on sale occasionally. So good and not farmed. For tomato sauce, I'd pick the food mill too.

RFB, your dinner last night sounds wonderful! I love how raisins play off the savory in dishes like that.

kmtblui - I just used cooked shell pasta, veggies (I think I included tomatoes, red peppers, cucumbers, black olives, fresh basil and feta cheese in this one) and an Italian dressing.

You can really use just about any veggies you like of have on hand.

It is very easy. I like to make it in the morning and put it in the fridge all day so the dressing has time to saturate everything. I usually add a little more dressing just before serving. Hope that helps!

And it will go great with grilled chicken and corn! Enjoy!

Amomoftwo - yes, JDouglas is correct, my dad and I would love your smoked brisket! And it's always nice to get it for $6 off!

This really is a wonderful conversation on the meals thread this weekend. So many interesting topics and menus. Can I just come to everyone's houses for their leftovers on Sunday? ;-)

Thanks so much to all of you for your help this week!!!! This was the most amount of time I have been away from the blog in 6 years and it was a wonderful trip with my dad and girls. I'll post photos this week. We were definitely all ready to get home though. Did I mention my girls are teenagers..... :-)

I had actually planned to blog more but I forgot my laptop at home (I know - how could that possibly happen!!) and could not work easily on my dad's iPad.

Thanks to Amy Dunn and all of you, the blog was in good hands this week.

Already planning my vacation for next year for my 30th HS reunion!
