Mother - I read your menu! How was your mango chicken?

Granoftwenty - sorry I didn't make it on time for those peach cakes!

Probably too late and no one will read lol but jdouglas happy all is well!

Grilled burgers (markdown at Kroger), corn on the cob, cantaloupe (evic special at HT) and green salad with fixin's from the garden. Can't wait for the tomatoes to ripen :)

    ATTENTION !
I waited for all of you last night - had to head home by 11 pm .
I even saved some mini upside down peach cakes ! LOL

WELCOME HOME JDOUGLAS13 and DW !!
Great to hear all is improving ! eclairs yum -

Too tired to try the lake again today so I stayed home -
tonight is mostly leftovers with rules (1) if you want it heated - do it yourself (2) cleanup your own mess - I am taking the day the day off

FAYE - I am very interested in the sushi ( the not raw part especially )

Faye, the eclairs were awesome! I originally intended to eat only half so I could enjoy the other half later, but we know that didn't happen LOL. If I didn't need to be squeezing myself into some fancy duds soon, I would buying us a few more. Yum! :)

Ascherer, thanks for your good wishes! Thinly sliced steak over a salad with a slightly mustardy vinaigrette, along with some ripe tomatoes and gorgonzola or blue cheese, is SOOO good. If you have any leftover corn or squash, throw that in too. I would never have thought so the first time I had it -- in fact, I tried it kicking and screaming, but was I wrong. Delicious. Now I often make extra London broil when I'm grilling so I have enough left over for salad the next night.

jdouglas - I am glad your DW is feeling better. Enjoy a day just chilling at home.

No clue what dinner is going to be. I assume something with leftover steak. The scollops were so large that by the time I ate my 2 with the corn and squash, I had no room for the steak.

jdouglas13 - Looks like our meals are very similar tonight. Chicken on salad - perfect for a hot day! I am so happy your DW is home and doing so much better. I am sure it was the eclairs that did the trick! lol

Ascherer, meals cooked on the grill by our spouses are the very best kind! And never ready too late! :) Yours sounds delicious.

Tonight is leftover grilled chicken over Caesar salad, maybe some bread if I find some in the freezer, and cantaloupe for dessert because we polished off the wonderful eclairs gifted to us by our DF after DW was FINALLY released from the hospital on Friday.

Yesterday was kind of crazy running around, but DW was feeling really good, and today we plan to just chill. Thanks again for everyone's good thoughts and prayers for us. They were SO VERY appreciated!
