I agree the GOLO MOM strawberry buttermilk muffins are Great .
We have enjoyed one each morning for breakfast this weekend
( trying to watch our portions).
I am about to make a batch of strawberry jam .
    Nothing fancy for supper :
Grilled ribeyes , corn , asparagus and strawberry sorbet ( or ice cream ??)

Lunches and dinners this weekend sounds great! Love the sound of the Strawberry Buttermilk muffins and the turkey avocado melts!

Tonight we are grilling chicken here with an herb & garlic marinade. Sides of roasted potatoes and sauteed mushrooms, green peppers and onions.

Twinredheads, if I were closer, I'd beg for an invite. Your menu sounds soooooo good!!

So, tonight we're going to have the fish since Dad wanted soup last night. My sister had pizza. I had jelly beans (and not even black jelly beans).

Thanks for the tip on the bread, RFB. Ascherer, enjoy your dinner tonight -- the pie sounds wonderful.

Definitely grilling weather so I'm making chicken kabobs. Using squash, mushrooms, onions, red potatoes, and red/yellow/orange peppers bought recently on sale. Not sure what the sides will be but strawberries (just picked at DJ's today) with angel food cake and whipped cream for dessert.

Our turkey avo melts were so good yesterday, we're having them again for lunch today! We mostly do our larger meals in the afternoon on Sundays, and then tonight I'm going to make up some guacamole with the leftover avocados for a snack. And btw, the organic ones (which I normally don't buy, but they were on my HT e-vic specials) were AMAZING!

Ascherer- those strawberry buttermilk muffins sound delicious. I'll have to look those up!

Momma found a couple of ribeye steaks in the freezer. We grilled everything including the corn and squash. Later we made the Strawberry Buttermilk muffins from the Go Ask Mom page. They are great with fresh strawberries. I have already had three of them and they have only been out of the oven for 2 hours.

jdouglas - I only get to do dinner at Jerrie's when I am down at Momma's house. The rule is that she will make Sunday dinner and serve it around 6:00 pm. All family is welcome, come if you can. Momma and I found a blueberry pie in the freezer. I think we are going to take that over.

Jdouglas- they also had 25% off some bakery bread today- love the Italian Sliced rounds... perfect for our turkey avo sandwiches today! And glad your Dad is eating, and you caught it earlier!

Thanks so much Ascherer! I love the tradition you have to go to your Aunt's with your Momma every week for Sunday dinner. Traditions like that are so affirming and grounding. Something you can count on and look forward to.

Compared to his last bout of pneumonia last fall, I'm hoping we caught my Dad's pneumonia in time so that it is not quite as devastating health-wise. His appetite is good (thank you prednisone) so I went to the fish market and got him some salmon for dinner, along with salad, and some pasta he likes. I'm having cod, and my sister is probably having leftover pizza because she doesn't eat fish.

Stasan, I will have to try your roasted green beans. They sound delicious and I love malt vinegar. Yum!

RFB, I'm hoping DW gets to HT for that 25% off deal on the cheese.

No clue what tonight's dinner will be. I will have to report back after Momma and I go to the store. I think we are going to make some of the strawberry buttermilk muffins from the Go Ask Mom blog. I got fresh strawberries at the produce stand yesterday.

Sunday's dinner is at my Aunt Jerrie's (a weekly tradition). She is making my Grandmomma's ham and potatoes recipe. Momma and I will take something to go with it.

    Thoughts and prayers for jdouglas.

STASAN1- sounds delicious! Do you remember how much per pound on the grass-fed beef? I never thought to look there for it!

Tonight we're doing another recipe from the 5 in 5- Turkey Avocado Melts. I got the organic avocados on e-vic special plus I'll get more specialty cheese at 25% off for them (at HT).
