GRANOF20- I love cranberry sauce... and your roast sounds delicious!

My blog is and the challenge isn't for another week, but I've done a bunch of research and wow- it's going to be TOUGH!

Sounds like a nice trip to Whole Foods ! Pork with cranberry sauce is SO GOOD ! I do a pork roast with homemade cranberry sauce sometimes -the house smells heavenly while it is cooking .
Couple of questions for YOU :
    1) Can I please have the link to your blog ( if allowed to share here ) ?
    2) Have you done the "challenge " of eating on less $$ per day yet ?

Ascherer- hope you have a wonderful visit with your friends!

    Faye- love your flexibility :-)

And tonight is leftovers. We hit Fresh Market right at noon today, and yes... we went CRAZY! DH wanted ribs. And then couldn't resist the wings (they did have a nice deal for $9.99 for a pound of wings (around 15) plus a 12" peperoni pizza (the pizza ended up being just 50 cents more than the regular price of the wings).

And I got the best sandwich I think I've ever had- roast pork, brie cheese, cranberry sauce on an onion bun (massive sandwich with huge slices of meat cut fresh from the case). With pickles and potato salad for $6.99- way better than fast food. I think I'll have the other 1/2 for dinner :-)

ascherer - Absolutely please share the local address for sharing coupons with our US military overseas! And I hope you have a wonderful weekend with your friends. Please thank him for his service!

I think we may have baked chicken and the sauteed veggies I had planned for last night and didn't get to make. I ended up being the carpool mom for multiple kids with multiple activities last night and did not have a chance to make the wontons so they are on the menu for tonight.

No weekend dinner plans because this weekend is being spent with friends. One just arrived from Iraq on Saturday evening. His girlfriend from out of state arrived on Friday. So our entire focus is on them and what they want to do. It may not be frugal but I have to salute my friends and the men & women who are willing to lose their lives for my freedoms. I will start being frugal again on Monday.

On a side note, I am pretty close to getting a local address connection for coupons for soldiers. I hope to be able to share it soon (if I am allowed to share it. Faye - you tell me). It is through my Husband's Church Men's Group.

RFB - thank you!! Those look so wonderful. And I love your new blog!

Faye- fun! Here's the recipe link if you'd like... although it's pretty simple :-)

I think tonight we will try the sweet wontons for dessert you posted about recently, RFB. I bought the wonton wrappers last week and have wanted to make them since you posted. We will also have pasta buffet (choice of sauces) and sauteed zucchini squash and onions (squash from Kroger for .99/lb on Monday).

Basically, I am combining both of your meals, LindaBates and RFB. :-)
