Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

Sorry I didnt respond sooner RFB. The buffalo chicken roll UPS were frozen that I purchased from BJ's. It was a 34 count box......they got rave reviews at the shower yesterday......everyone kept asking were we got them from or how I made them lol.

Wings are in the oven as I type, pizza will go in at about 600 tonight and brownies are cooling off so that when Rae wakes from her nap she can decorate. We also have tortilla chips with tostitos queso blanco dip or salsa and Lays BBQ chips. Carrots amd grape tomatoes with ranch for our "healthy snack". Wine for me, beer for DH and capri sun for Rae. Yay for football!!!!!

Papa John's pizza (spent $15 and will get a code tomorrow for a free pizza), chips and dip, chips and salsa/guacamole, pita chips and hummus, veggie tray and cookies for dessert. Everything was bought with a sale and coupon over the last couple of weeks.

RFB - the chickpeas recipe looks tasty and easy. Her photos are really well done.

ascherer - well done getting everything on sale for your shindig today.

Faye- thanks! And yum on the Mexican food!

Today DH will be grilling up a tri tip, and I think I'm going to do some Skillet Sicilian Chickpeas over Brown Rice on the side. I found this recipe today on Sunday Supper which was a blogging group I used to be a part of a year ago.

Today's recipes are all using the McCormick's simmer sauces (that we got free at HT a few weeks back!) This recipe uses the Sicilian one (which I still have) and I thought you all might enjoy seeing the recipes... lots of great ideas in case you have a bunch left in your pantry :-) http://www.shockinglydelicious.com/skillet-sicilian-chickpeas-over-quinoa/#more-20140

We are going to a friends house for a Super Bowl party. We are taking a summer sausage, ground mustard, cheese and cr*chers. Everything but the cr*ckers was on sale at Kroger tonight. Of course it is BYOB and even the beer was on sale.

RFB - your roasted veggie lunch sounds fabulous!

My Dad took us out to dinner tonight after my oldest daughter's wonderful band concert in Fayetteville. We had Mexican food and it was muy delicioso.:-) Thanks, Dad!

The girls requested buffalo chicken dip to enjoy while watching the National Anthem, commercials and a halftime show tomorrow (in between a bunch of guys - who are sadly not Miami, Denver or Carolina players - throwing pigskin around). lol Not sure what else will grace the menu but I think it will involve baby carrots, celery, mozzarella sticks and something sweet.
