The meal reminded him of his grandma's - which is the HIGHEST praise from him .
I have achieved that "honor" maybe 10 times in 30 years .
It was very good & simple nothing in it to make it difficult- just stuff you normally have in the cabinet or fridge .

    Thanks Ascherer!

JTLNSW - there was a coupon and cookie swap yesterday. That is what you missed.

Awe I feel like I missed something! I haven't exactly been on frequent lately either, should probably check more often now.
Tonight's dinner is a roast with rice and gravy, mixed veggies and Hawaiin sweet rolls.

Jdouglas - As Ascherer said, you were definitely missed yesterday at the swap! I am sure that dinner was extra good since your sister made it.

Tonight we are having Gourmet Buffet including leftover chicken crack...(formally known as buffalo chicken dip), The stuff is so addictive (hence the nickname) that both girls asked for it again tonight. There is also 1/2 the veggie tray leftover, pasta and anything else we can find. lol Easy cooking night after a long and busy weekend.

RFB - that sounds like a good sweet tater recipe!

jdouglas - you were missed. I would love to have given you a hug also. I am glad you finally got a real meal. Especially since someone else cooked.

I think we are having meatloaf tonight with mashed potatoes and butter beans.

I'm glad to hear how well the cookie swap went! Raesmom, your PB cookies sounds awesome. :)

RFB, your menu sounds yummy. Love lamb chops, and I can definitely see the yogurt being worked into your menu.

Ascherer, I'm soooo sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you and give you a hug. Twinredheads, sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you too.

No clue what's for dinner tonight (so what else is new) but last night was baked cod, asparagus, and jasmine rice with a bag of orange jelly candy for dessert, It feels like the first real meal I've had in days, and was extra delicious because my sister did the cooking.

Today I'm working on a recipe for Chobani (not for pay, just for a fun group blogging thing :-) and I'm going to be creating some kind of roasted sweet potatoes with yogurt and other yummy ingredients! And with it, I think we'll have grilled baby lamb chops and steamed spinach.
