jdouglas13 - I hope you can return home soon for your sanity and hers. Sending hugs. :-)

observant - my youngest mentioned the other day that I seem to be baking much more these days and then she followed up with : "And I like it!" It was so funny. With the colder weather upon us, I am compelled to bake. My mom did the same thing and I know my kids love it.

I know it's late but I just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone for your good thoughts. Faye you have built such a great community here and I am so grateful to be part of it.

My DW is hanging in and being very supportive in spite of living on hot dogs and canned soup, and having to deal with the naughty twins by herself. This trip has turned into way more than we anticipated and it will be a relief to get back home for us both.

Thanks Faye for the Aldi info I have a recently single friend who just moved and has an Aldi's near her but is ""computer limited" so I tell her the deals you post .

Your muffins sound delicious - baking after a trip to and from Wilmington ?? Wow

Nakabi - Thanks for the Aldi turkey price - FRESH ones taste so good but are usually so much more than frozen ! I have to watch here and get one (or two) at that price .

just saw on the Aldi ad for next week that they have fresh turkeys for .99/lb....yay!

Faye - Thanks. I'm still a little tired but I am feeling much better.

observant- Aldi prices are regional. Many get the same products on sale, but for different prices. For instance, Nakabi's Aldi prices are usually lower than ours each week. And you dinner tonight sounds great (especially the comfort potatoes!).

I just took a batch of banana chocolate chip muffins out of the oven and they smell awesome! I try to make a batch of muffins most Sunday evenings for the kids to enjoy for snacks/lunch during the coming week. Used marked down ripe bananas from HT that I bought a couple says ago.

ascherer - so glad you are feeling better.

I think I missed the answer to the following question :
Is Aldi's ad prices good everywhere or is the ad regional ???

    Thanks for the swagcode !

Thank You Nakabi for the cranberry sauce instructions .
I have been trying to cut high fructose corn syrup out of our diet for many reasons including my diabetes . My blood sugar goes up if I touch a can of store bought sauce ! LOL
I have found 100% cranberry juice no sugar added at Food Lion - it is definitely NOT sweet !! It is nice in recipes and with stevia or small amounts of sugar . I think I found another brand in the Kroger ad - someone is checking the store for me tomorrow

    Thank You !
I'm afraid it wasn't me who mentioned homemade cranberry sauce but it sounds so easy I may try it too
