Tonight was doctored leftover combination fried rice (chicken, pork, and shrimp) from date night Thursday. We added a scrambled egg, lite soy sauce, and chopped leftover chicken.

I've been so lazy about posting (and everything else!) this weekend.

Last night dinner was a burger on the grill with a side salad of chopped up fresh tomatoes, chopped fresh parsley, mozzarella balls, and garlic stuffed green olives.

Tonight is a Perdue oven stuffer roaster (HT sale) with sides of a wild rice blend, leftover butternut squash roasted with garlic, ancho chili powder and a little sugar, and frozen green beans stolen from the naughty twins' stash.

I never knew you could get Challah with raisins - the leftovers would make delicious French toast.

Making Curried Acorn Squash soup for the first time this fall which is my husband's favorite. Got two HUGE squash at Aldi's for under $2 each. Will serve with some crusty bread that I should probably go dig out of the freezer right now! Not sure what the girls are going to eat as they are not a fan of soup. Going to be a loooong winter around here if they don't learn to like it!

raesmom1612 - scratching the brownies because I realized I have 5 bananas that need to be used so it's banana nut bread instead! I'll save you some. :-)

RFB - good luck on the new recipe!

BJMHOLMES3- wow, that sounds amazing... I love Greek flavors, too!

And tonight I'm going to try a new recipe from a cookbook I just ordered for grilled bok choy with a yummy sounding Asian dressing. And I think DH will have leftover pork tenderloin fried rice.

I am cooking, for the first time, a butterflied leg of lamb which I purchased at HT. Serving it with a cucumber, red onion, tomato and feta salad, and a ratatouille made with eggplant, onion, red bell pepper. Will have pita and tzatziki sauce. Greek flavors are great.

I say go for brownies Faye! I picked up cocoa powder yesterday and decided to put it back. I'll come by for my piece later ;)

Lol Faye! Rae is definitely a "social butterfly" that's what her great grandad calls her. I can see her dipping her toes in a bit of everything....sports, dance, band even cooking! I will enjoy these years where I can lounge around BC I know my time is coming!! She is a bit better today, just cant shake the cough, and at her age there aren't too many cough syrups for her that are not filled with harmful chemicals, so its a spoonful of honey for her today again.

Tonight we are having leftover pot roast with the meat, veggies and amazing gravy served on a bed of egg noodles. Apple slices on the side. I may make brownies...we'll see if time permits.

raesmom1612 - I hope Rae is feeling better today. Don't blame you for not leaving the house! If my kids didn't have such an active social life, I would have much more time to lounge around the house! lol - just wait until Rae is older..... :-)

Made rice and soup for Rae yesterday and some rotel dip for me along with food that was brought over by a friend. Yesterday was girls night and I didn't want to bring Rae around the kids BC she is contagious, they were nice enough to bring me a plate. Love my friends!!

Tonight chili is in the crock pot already with some corn bread on the side.....i am SO not leaving the house today lol
