Thanks Faye and JDouglas. Most of my problem is stress. We are in the process of adopting a feral kitty cat. We have adopted him but are still working on him adopting us. Add in the stress of job hunting. As the old saying goes, one in the hand is better than two in the bush. Well I have two in the bush but no hard offers yet in hand. Hopefully everything will fix its self in the next couple of days.

Ascherer, so sorry to hear you're under the weather and hope you are feeling much better today! That was sweet of your DH to do the shopping.

Last night I had some grilled chicken left over from the grilled chicken Caesar salad we had on Friday, so I reincarnated it into small pasta shells alfredo with chopped broccoli cooked along with the pasta and thinly sliced chicken all mixed together. It was a tasty use of the leftovers, and was soft enough for DW to eat. The whole thing came together in as much time as it took to boil the water and cook the pasta. Quick, easy, and one pot to wash. :)

I have not been feeling well and have had no interest in food for the past few days. DH finally got tired of being hungry. He went to the store and bought chicken, pork chops, hamburger and ground turkey. I promised if he would cook tonight, I would make a meatloaf tomorrow night. So he is grilling chicken, pork chops, and corn on the cob tonight. I am proud of him. All of the meat was the value pack size.

triciaandron - that sounds perfectly reasonable to me. lol

We ended up having breaded chicken tenders tonight and tomorrow night (Sunday) we will have the pumpkin french toast with fruit salad.

Faye- Thanks for all you do! Thanks for the tip on $5 dinners. Think I'll forget dinner and just
have some Salted Caramel Brownies ;-)

    Faye- that does sound good!!!

And tonight I think we're going to have my Spicy Beet and Red Cabbage Salad with pine nuts in romaine leaves (used the Earthbound Farm e-mail Q today at HT). And I have some chia seed crkrs in the dehydrator so I think I'll make up some macadamia garlic herb cheese dip and also cut up some veggies for it. And for dessert... the snowball cookies I made the other day with ground brazil nuts, shredded coconut, agave and a few other yummy ingredients (my super picky DH even loves them)!

I am thinking of making Pumpkin Pie French Toast for dinner - a recipe I found today on $5 dinners. It sounds divine! Here is the link:

I'll serve it with fruit salad. :-)
