jdouglas - Per my Momma lima beans and butter beans are the same (green beans shaped like a bean). She says Forthook limas are a dried spotted bean shaped like a lima bean if that makes any sense to you.

We came to the conclusion that it wasn't that we had too many blueberries. The problem was that they were still damp when we put them in the batter. The muffins taste good but had a problem forming the bottom crust because so many of the berries settled there. Maybe we should have let the batter rest a little before we filled the cups. Who knows.

ascherer - that a fun time! Although I can't imagine how many blueberries you must have had in that mix to make it too much!

Jdouglas - you could hear me say that all the way from my house??? ;-)

Ascherer, what fun teaching your niece how to bake! Sometimes it seems like cooking and baking are becoming a lost art, and I think it's wonderful to pass on these skills to our younger family and friends. Your dinner sounds wonderful! Are butter beans the same as limas? Fordhook limas are one of my favorite vegetables (I hear can y'all saying ewww LOL)

Last night was steak on the grill (prior HT sale), salad, grilled asparagus, and baked potatoes. I just got done browning the beef, mushrooms, and onions to go into the slow cooker for beef stroganoff tonight, probably with side of noodles and green beans (Lowes sale on now).

Faye - Thanks. That means a bunch. I'll keep posting when I can.

We had fun today after church. Momma and I helped my Niece made blueberry muffins from scratch. We had to start from the beginning. She had never creamed butter before. We made a wreck of the kitchen but we had so much fun and laughed the whole time. All three of us learned that it is possible to put too many blueberries in a blueberry muffin.

Tonight was meatloaf (hamburger on sale at BiLo), oven roasted red potatoes, steamed green beans, and sliced tomatoes all from Momma's garden.

Tomorrow is a small family dinner. Friday, Momma made a Boston B*tt cooked in the crock pot in a homemade BBQ sauce that includes Worcestershire sauce. (Note: it is a two day process.) We will have buns if anyone wants one. My Aunt is bring a cream of corn casserole, a squash casserole, and possible butter beans (my favorite). Of course there will be cuke and tomatoes slices.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

raesmom1612 - have fun at girls night!

Kathy - That soup sounds great!

I think that since it will be so nice this evening, I will make some zucchini bread tonight. Some for the freezer, some for my dad and some to eat as soon as it cools with some light cream cheese!

Leftover chicken vegetable soup made from leftover oven cooked whole chicken the other day, fresh veggies (zucchini from sisters garden, squash, greenbeans, onions, tomatoes, beans, and wild rice), and gf cheddar bay biscuits. There is also 1 porkchop leftover from the other day that someone can have.

Tonight we are having chicken and cheese quesadillas with chicken from the slow cooker, tortillas that were $1 per package at HT recently, Kraft cheese from Kroger for $1.50 (after digital coupon through Tuesday) and spinach, tomatoes, onions, Wholly Guacamole (from last super doubles) and sour cream. Side of rice and cherries ($1.99/lb at Kroger this week).
