What's for dinner this weekend?

Posted June 7, 2014

Strawberries

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

jdouglas - thank you. As much as I enjoyed one of the "Best Burgers" in Cary for dinner (and it was great), the meals discussed here sound so much better.

Nakabi - you have some very nice friends. And I am sure it was fun catching up with them.

Happy weekend everyone. Enjoy the beautiful weather while we have it.

Nakabi - your treats from home sound delicious!

Jdouglas - happy weekend to you, too!

Faye-yes it was wonderful of them to bring the shrimp; they know how much we love it. We've got some friends from boarding school in SA coming to visit next month and they will bring me biltong (similar to jerky but SO much better) and nandos sauce. (Nandos is a restaurant back home that has the best peri-peri chicken! !!!) Im excited LOL)

Nothing terribly interesting here tonight. Grilled veg salad for me, leftover pea soup for DW.

Ascherer, enjoy your night out! Happy Weekend everyone. :)

We are having the slow cooker herb and garlic chicken I made yesterday with steamed broccoli served on angel hair pasta with a touch of butter and parm.

RFB - I think I would rather eat at your house. It just sounds better than anything I can get going out.
