Thanks Faye and Jdouglas!! Now I can understand why my baby has been so miserable lately.....I thought she was coming down with a cold!!

Tonight is left over baked ziti and a salad and since we have so many strawberries dessert will be something with strawberries........maybe a cheesecake, or strawberry and kale smoothies

Twinredheads- I'm so glad you liked it! Sounds delicious with your sides as well!

Raesmom -- allergy time BIG time, at least for me. I'm sneezing so much, one of the naughty twins is hiding under a chair half the time. The culprit du jour is now grass pollen, especially after all the rain. If you add a little breeze to it, well, let's just say things are gonna get real ugly. ;)

Dinner last night was a really quickly thrown together concoction. Sautéed chunks of floured chicken breast, mushrooms, tons of chopped fresh garlic. Cook until chicken is lightly browned. Deglaze with enough white wine to make sort of a thick gravy, and add a 28 oz can of petite diced tomatoes and a good handful of chopped fresh (only) parsley. Cook for a couple of minutes until the chicken is cooked through and sauce is hot. Mix into a pound of pasta of your choice. Ziti or penne would be good, I used thin spaghetti.

Tonight is sautéed zucchini, yellow squash, mushrooms,Vidalia onion with thyme; Caesar salad with shrimp.

RALEIGHFOODBLOGGER- Thanks for the salmon recipe yesterday. It was very good and I served it with couscous and grilled zucchini. Will definitely make again :)

Faye- sounds fun! I've never tried lambrusco... I'll have to check it out!

Last night was girls night at one of my friends and I had veggies, hummus and lambrusco for dinner. :-) Tonight it is 97% fat free Hebrew National beef hot dogs on the grill, pasta salad with veggies and fruit of some kind. Depends on what I find today.

Raesmom - I love baked ziti as well! And yes, something is blooming. My allergies are back with a vengeance the last few days.

Thanks ladies!!! I love my baked ziti too :) I use sour cream instead of ricotta cheese and lots of fresh veggies.
jdouglas~is it allergy time again?? Rae has had a little runny nose and has been sneezing a lot and I thought for sure she was getting sick again. I guess ill have to start her allergy meds again.

Raesmom- I'm with jdouglas- love baked ziti!

And tonight we have 2 pork chops leftover, so I'm going to pound them and make them into tonkatsu (fried in panko) with jasmine rice and I think I'll do some zucchini noodles on the side.

Also, that salmon was so good last night- my DH loved it too!!! Here's the recipe if any of you want to try it- it was so easy, and quick to clean up. Chung-Ah is a blogging friend and she has some amazing recipes. http://damndelicious.net/2014/02/07/honey-salmon-foil/

Your baked ziti always sounds so good, Raesmom!

No clue yet what we're doing tonight. Last night was takeout Chinese, mainly for the wonton soup in the hope it might make my allergies feel a bit better.

I have been craving baked ziti for a few days so that's whats for dinner this whole weekend. Salad and garlic bread on the side, free pasta from HT, free sauce from past SD's at HT, cheap g. beef from Aldi, onions, peppers, garlic, mushrooms and tomatoes. Since hubby is on night shift dinner will be done by 2. Have a great weekend!!
