    losltp - I put the breasts in the slow cooker and then generously seasoned with pepper and garlic powder. Then poured on 1/3 bottle of Wishbone lite Italian dressing. Cooked on low for 5 hours and they fall apart. Then shredded all of it when it was done.

    To make the creamy "stroganoff' sauce, I used a combo of Progresso recipe starters basil flavor sauce and sour cream with more pepper and garlic. It was yummy.

    I hope your little cutie pie is feeling better tomorrow. :-)

    It buffet night at our house choice of taco soup, rice, Spanish beans and bbq chicken wings, or tacos and all the fixings. Rae is a little under the weather today (again) so I'm gonna take over in the kitchen and make some brownies.

    Chicken stroganoff ! Sounds delicious !
    Did you cook the chicken breasts any special way in the slow cooker ?? Special spices,flavorings, etc ??

    Yep my bad kitty did fail (my) obedience school ( not all his fault -he is male after all) but he gets an A+ for love and keeping me active and entertained. I read/heard somewhere: "pets are 2 year olds that never grow up " seems very true now lol.
    I sure hope your DW feels better soon ! The Magnums sound soothing for her mouth .

    Dinner last night ( and leftovers today ) were the recipes form the three of YOU ( the soup, the bread & the stuffed apples ) - alll were delicious and are now part of my " go to " menu choices .

    Faye- I've never tried chicken stroganoff, what a great idea! And you're like me... I love to make a bunch of chicken up and have it the rest of the week to use in lunches/dinners.

    And tonight was my DH's day off, so we made dinner a bit early to enjoy with the race. And I can't tell you what it was, as I want to surprise you for tomorrow's post... but I will say we both had seconds (and my DH had thirds!! :-)

    I cooked a value pack of boneless skinless chicken breasts from Lowes Foods in the slow cooker today ($1.99/lb this week). Tonight we will have chicken stroganoff on egg noodles (the beef stroganoff from gator girl got me hooked). Sides of steamed carrots and cara cara orange slices.

    I am freezing some of the chicken for Buffalo Chicken Dip for a function next weekend. The leftover chicken will be made into chicken salad for lunches the next couple days.
