What's for dinner this weekend?

Posted November 30, 2013

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas.

What's on your menu tonight? Leftover turkey something....again?!

Tonight is turkey vegetable soup and crusty sourdough bread. We didn't have any TDay leftovers so Friday I bought a turkey breast on sale at Krogers and baked that mostly so I could have turkey sandwiches (my fav). Today I boiled down the carcass and we'll have the soup.

We decided to have a steak on the grill tonight (from our freezer stash) since the weather is so nice today. We still have leftover sweet potatoes and creamed onions, but haven't eaten any since TG, so we should still enjoy them.

Since tomorrow is supposed to be rainy, some form of spaghetti and sausage will be on the menu.

We have finally run out of turkey, roast beef and the ham they bought back from their GPs. I guess that means I have to actually cook again. We might have chicken or hamburgers. Have to find something that will reheat since my oldest is working at Target until 11 pm tonight. On his birthday even.

We're doing Tarragon Chicken Lettuce Leaf Wraps with a Spicy Balsamic Greek Yogurt Sauce... chicken BOGO from past Fresh Market, and leftover fresh tarragon from past Hot Browns.

jdouglas13 - that's funny. We are down to the last of the turkey and I may just freeze it for another week.

    Turkey. Sandwich. Again.

Tomorrow has got to be something different. Spaghetti, maybe, or pizza!

twinredheads - happy birthday to your girls! And there are definitely more expensive places you could be eating at so it's not as expensive as it could be. Enjoy!

We are having noodle kugel, turkey bacon and orange slices. Kind of ab reakfast for dinner theme.

Tonight is pork chops, apple sauce, oven roasted asparagus, and steams broccoli. Tomorrow is stewed beef and I have not figured out the rest yet. Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

NOT at all frugal but taking our twin daughters and five friends to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner to celebrate their 14th birthday. I do have a coupon for a free snack size wings though :)
