We are having some kind of soup tonight. I had a bit of leftover steak, and I'll add in some miscellaneous veg and barley. I might make bisuits to have with, otherwise I will use some of my gnocchi stash as dumplings in the soup.

Sadly, the cheesecake is gone, and I never did get around to baking today. Good thing I'm so well stocked on the Magnum! ;)

Reminder everyone: If you are planning to cook a frozen turkey on Thursday, now is the time to take it out of the freezer and move it into the fridge. According to the Butterball website, you need to cook the turkey within 4 days after it has thawed.

Thanks for the Cabot reminder. Need to pick up a couple bars.

Old faithful tonight: homemade mac & cheese with a side of steamed broccoli. I need some comfort food after all my recent dead computer stress. I am NO techie and trying to figure out what to replace it with and all this blah blah blah about gigs and megs and cores and I don't know what all has my poor head spinning. Help me!

I should add that boh FL and Lowes have my fave Cabot cheese on sale this week for $2 ea, and I had a bunch of $1 coupons so I was a happy girl with cheap cheese! Common Kindness usually has coupons for Cabot.

Great job on the chicken dish for your family. Frugal and tasty!

We are also having leftover crockpot chicken tonight. I think we will also have chicken tacos with free taco shells, sale cheese, free sour cream from Lowes Foods Kraft promo going on now. Sides of rice and salad.

Leftover crockpot chicken tonight (tacos perhaps -- lots of free shells from a few weeks ago) and probably homemade pizza tomorrow night. We made the best chicken breast last night & have LOTS of leftovers.

Faye -- Thanks for reminding me about that $1.99 chicken breast at HT last week. We have gone a few days now to get it for a night and it has been awesome. I made our entire dinner for our little family & my parents for about $6! Spent $4 on chicken breasts, put them in crockpot with free french onion soup & one packet of soup mix (50 cents I think), 2 cups of rice (bulk from BJs that will last us about 6 months), a few rolls (50 cents) and of course a frozen vegetable that I got for free. Fantastic, cheap dinner!

Tonight we're having tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches to ward off the cold weather moving in.
