Boneless chicken breasts baked in Fresh Take Spicy Chipotle, with Mahatma rice, Green Giant broccoli. Old El Paso cooking sauce (chile and garlic) was too spicy - mixed with sour cream and spread on baked chicken. It was really good.

I don't use the bouillon cubes myself very often, but will sometimes throw one in the pot if I'm making chicken stock, or will use part of one in otherwise plain white rice. They're nice to have around in case I need a little chicken broth and am completely out.

Dinner: option A is burgers on the grill, homemade gnocchi with butter/fresh parsley/garlic/parm, salad; option B is baked ziti and salad.

Last night's pork roast with the Jamaican j@rk seasoning was okay, but not great. I may not have been generous enough with the seasoning, or maybe it needed a little brown sugar added to it. The roasted sweet potatoes, OTOH, were awesome and so easy. Just sweet potato chunks, a little EVOO, garlic powder, and lemon pepper. Toss together in a roasting pan and bake at 400 degrees. Turn once. The natural sugar carmelized the outside of the potatoes. Just yummy.

Tonight is shepards pie using some marked down hamburger, gravy made from progresso French onion soup mixed with a can of peas and a package of green giant veggies topped with mashed potatoes. Thinking dump cake or baked peaches for dessert.

    Linguini a la Diana - that's cute!

Tonight it's BLTs with vegetable soup. I picked up the tomatoes from the farmers market earlier this week. Last night we had "pigs in a blanket", baked beans and slaw. Had a dollar off coupon for the crescent rolls.
Tomorrow night we'll go to a movie then out to eat somewhere. We do that a couple of Sundays a month.
I usually use a restaurant coupon but don't have any for this week.

jdouglas- thanks! It's the only thing I use bouillon cubes for... it's a recipe I modified from the early 90's :-)

RFB that sounds delish. I've made a variation of that, but hadn't thought to add a bouillon cube. I imagine it adds another nice layer of flavor.

    I love pasta concoctions! ;)

Linguini a la Diana ;-) Using leftover HoneyBaked Ham, pretty good deal today on Evap. skim milk at HT (.50/2 printable w/triples), frozen peas from Grean Giant box (.40) and free linguini from past sales. Had chicken bouillon cubes in pantry and leftover romano cheese in fridge. A favorite for over 25 years! :-)
