RaleighFoodBlogger-For the ribs in the crock pot--Do you put water in the pot or just the onion, ribs and sauce?

We had the ribs tonight also with garden peas cooked with honey butter.

Tonight is grill steaks bought on sale at Kroger with rosemary oven roasted potatoes, grilled corn on the cob and a veggie of some kind.

Your sides sound delish, Faye. I'd love to have it, but DW won't touch squash of any kind with a stick.

Tonight is skirt steak on the grill, probably a salad, and baked potato. I have to make up for last night which was a bit veg-heavy for DW. It was a last minute salad concoction of corn, green beans, tomato, shrimp, shallot, lemon and EVOO. Garlic toast thingys on the side. I could hear her thinking "where's the beef?" lol.

Raesmom- Awesome, I think you'll love it! My fav. is Sticky Fingers Original BBQ with it, but the Ray's was on sale ;-)

    And that sounds yummy, Faye!

We are having the teriyaki tofu I had on the menu earlier in the week. We ended up having salmon burgers instead, so the tofu is on the menu tonight. Side of sauteed squash, zucchini, mushrooms and onions and brown rice.

Thanks for sharing, raesmom and RFB!

Just found a huge pack of pork country style ribs on sale at HT (was $19, got for $8 :-) I was always scared to try these, but they are so great in the crock pot. Just add in a chopped onion, the ribs, then 1/2 bottle of BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's was BOGO at HT too!) Cook on low for about 4 hours, then drain off fat. Add in the rest of the BBQ sauce and cook another 2 hours or so or until tender. So simple! Think I'll have these w/some oven baked corn on the cob I got cheap too :-)
