Pot roast (meat from freezer from a sale a LONG time ago) with gravy and mashed potatoes. I made the roast yesterday, but like it better the next day, so tonight is the night.

I also bought a sirloin tip roast today from Lowes which I plan to cut up and marinate in tamari, garlic, and EVOO for beef kabobs with red onion, mushroom caps, and a red pepper if I can find one cheap enough. Rice on the side.

Linda, what are creamed potatoes and are butter beans the same as lima beans?

Linda - we all want to come for dinner tomorrow! :-)

We had cheeseburgers with the sirloin roast I had ground at Lowes. They were excellent, made cupcakes for dessert.

I cook my tenderloin in the slow cooker with Lipton dry onion soup and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Sometimes I thicken the gravy after I take the pork out. My family loves it.

We are having a birthday dinner tommorrow. I let the birthday girl/boy choose the menu. So we are having baked chicken, homemade dressing with gravy, green beans with tomato, onion, & bacon (so good), butterbeans, creamed potatoes, rolls and devil food cake with rich homemade icing. Anyone hungry from reading this. Well, got to get back to the kitchen to get things going so we can eat after church tommorrow.

I made homemade vegetable beef soup and cornbread for today. Would like to cook pork tenderloin in the slow cooker tomorrow. Would anyone like to share a good recipe for this? I have come across a few but they call for wine, which I would rather not use. Guess I could just use a bbq sauce but would prefer to try something to make more of a gravy in the pot to use over potatoes or rice.

Pork Chop Parmigiana. Free pasta + cheap shredded mozzarella cheese from HT... and don't forget the Ragu Tomato & Basil Sauce (I was kind of a Classico only kind of gal, but the Ragu is actually not bad!) Bread crumbs and eggs on sale too. Plus, pork chops are always pretty cheap when it comes to a protein. And I found a huge chunk of parm. cheese a few weeks ago on sale... worth the price as there is such intense flavor and you don't need much.

Tonight is a farmers market pizza with a .99 HT dough ball, fresh veggies and fresh mozzarella (a splurge, but yum). Tomorrow will be .69/lb chicken leg quarters from HT with butter beans and corn.
