Posted June 22, 2013

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas for what to make with all the great deals you have bought on sale recently.

What's on your menu tonight?

We had scrambled eggs when we got home from the picnic -- it was about all I had the energy left to make after our HT SD trip.

Tonight will finally be the salad with the leftover sliced steak from the other night, and garlic bread if I can scrounge up some bread from the freezer. I'm all baked out! LOL :)

We did miss you, Anneliese! I hope your dad is continuing to recover. Enjoy those tomato sandwiches!

Not really sure what is for dinner here this weekend. Every day is adventure in "What does Daddy want to eat today?" Momma and I are going to go ahead and cook the green beans from the garden, make a squash casserole, and cream some pretty corn I bought from the "Tomato Man" yesterday. He had some nice tomatoes. Dinner may be as simple as a tomato sandwich.

I hope the picnic is fun. I wish I could be there.

Honey BBQ chicken in the slow cooker for pull apart BBQ sandwiches with a side of pasta salad and fruit. Chicken is in the slow cooker now and the house smells great!

Looks like we both have the slow cooker in action today, Juanita! See you in an hour!

I'm thinking 9 can taco soup in the crock pot today.
