Lol ThomasG......I won't be surprised if one day I find her in there whipping up some frosting or something......between that and the easy bake oven, she is destined to be on food network some day :)

JDOUGLAS13 - Real simple. 2 cups leftover cold mashed potatoes, 1 cup leftover chopped ham, 1 tsp garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. Make into patties and dredge in flour. Fry in 2 tbsp melted butter. Fry for approximately 15 minutes flipping halfway through cooking time.

Granoftwenty-yes NBS is finally cooperating!!! And Rae is as bad as I am with her easy bake oven. Every 2 seconds she says mom come on let's make something.....I just don't have enough energy to play with my toy and hers so we will do hers tomorrow. Thanks for the rebate info I will look for it in the box.

Faye I can't wait to see what I come up with too.....I told DH to be prepared to try anything in the coming months.....baby naps.....mommy bakes lol

Jdouglas thanks again for offering to show me how to use my new toy......and omg if I learn to make your cheesecake.....that may be the end of any weight loss goals I may have had in the future :)

Granoftwenty -I remember the two piece guards. I made more of a mess with it than without, so I stopped using it.

Raesmom, you are more than welcome to come over any time for the bread tutorial. You know you can make really good pizza dough too. I usually use my breadmaker to mix dough (and then bake it off in the oven), but we can figure it out together on how to make it with the mixer. Of course, we could just use it to make cheesecake! ;)

Chicken enchiladas with rice and veggies here tonight.

Raesmom - so glad you could enjoy your Christmas dinner last night! And congrats on the new mixer. I look forward to hearing about your creations.

RAESMOM1612- SUPER GRATS on the Kitchen Aide !!
What did Rae say about her easy bake oven ??
Check your box - some come with a rebate certificate or an special priced ( free?) attachment set you must mail in for . Also if you signup at the website - you may get special offers and recipes .
JDOUGLAS13 - THANKS !! - I had never thought of a towel for the flour "POOF" ! LOL
I make a shield/skirt of plastic wrap when doing meats/fruits/veggies but not practical when mixing breads, cakes or cookies .
I found a two piece pouring shield many, many years ago but it is not perfect especially at high speeds .Now there is a one piece shield but it will is too small for my bowls ..

Awesome jdouglas I appreciate it. I'll send you a pic of it later......I have no clue which one he got. I knew if I opened it yesterday I would have been experimenting all day lol. I really want to try some bread and I know that's something you do often....I'll have to come by some day and get a visual tutorial on the bread making :)
