I'm start a crock pot of venison chili shortly. We will just have soup and a sandwich tonight when DH gets home from his meeting. Then T will be chili and Ritz. W I am thinking baked potatoes topped with chili. I will figure out the rest of the week later.

Everyone keep warm. If you can, bring your outdoor pets inside. If not, please make sure they have a place that is safe and warm.

Tonight I am trying a new recipe. A friend gave us a huge butternut squash so I am going to make soup. I looked at many recipes and finally landed on this one:

The flavors look like what my husband and I will like best. Not too sweet or too spicy. I have all the other ingredients on hand so we don't have to buy anything for this meal :) We'll have toast on the side with a salad.

I pulled Stuffed Mexican Shells out of the freezer from when I had made them back before Christmas and had leftovers (so I froze them). We'll add a salad with that from the Fresh Express salads that were on a sale a LF a week or so ago along with cucumber that I recently got on sale at HT and the hubby is picking up a tomato on his way home. He's going to heat up the shells for us so this will be a quick dinner with minimal work! Gotta love those kind of dinners!

Nothing too exciting here tonight. Were kind of wiped out from taking down all the Christmas stuff and some housework, so I wanted something easy.

Burgers, baked potatoes in the microwave, salad.
