Navy mom - we used one of the crockpot brand seasoning mixes for beef stew and it was great and easy!

You're right, nakabi. It's amazing what you can create from a mish mash of items on hand.

Gator girll-I love using up things in our freezer and fridge! My hubby and I like to see how long we can wait to go to the store just by using up items we have! It def. saves money when you use what you have. Plus it helps with your creativity :)

I'm cleaning out the freezer so it's chef choice tonight. I've got 4 chicken and apple sausages and 3 sweet Italian sausage that I'll sauté with onion and green pepper. I'll make Mac 'n Cheese using up the last of our cheese and most of our milk. The only pasta I have right now are little baby shells so I hope that works. and then I'll fix some French style green beans. I've got to get to the store to replenish our supplies!

Has anyone ever used any of the seasoning packs for pot roast in the slow cooker? I am thinking of doing one sometime this week but I have never tried any of the ready season mixes.

    Any ideas??

nakabi - I bet it is cold there! Are you snowed or iced in? Soup is the perfect meal for a cold winters day.

Same as Faye :). BBQ chicken sandwiches, green beans, rice.
