Posted August 12, 2013

Here's the place to share your meal ideas for the evening, post where you bought the ingredients frugally and even share a recipe if you would like. If you need some inspiration for your own dinner tonight, this may give you some helpful ideas for what to make with all the great deals you have bought on sale recently.

What's on your menu tonight?

Faye, I vote for planning your menu on a daily basis. Live on the wild side!! It's so much fun to get frostbite freezer diving every night at 7:30 trying to come up with some semblance of a menu.

The pups may have a few more bags of green beans they might be willing to part with if you're interested -- I'll send them over to you with them! hahahaha ;)

Seriously, girl, you have enough going on with SD. Why not announce to the family that they are having a cooking competition every night this week and that you are the judge! ;)

Enjoy the feast, newsnut! It sounds delicious! My husband doesn't even like white potatoes. Only eats sweet taters.

We will be feasting on Tuscan Chicken Stew and biscuits. I'm adding some potatoes to the dish, hubby thinks he needs potatoes with like every dinner, smells wonderful at my house!!!!

And if you all noticed that I have not published a meal plan for today, it's because I have not published a meal plan for today. :-) Too much to do today. Hoping to get it done tomorrow...or play by ear each night this week. Now that would be quite an adventure in dining for me.

Meredith - thanks for the follow-up on the pizza. It sounds like it worked great! We are going to try it soon.

jdouglas - so funny about the never ending watermelon. You can bring some to the HT interview we are going to do with you at 6 am on the first day the Clayton store is open. LOLOLOL

We ended up having spinach, cheese and rice quesadillas on the stove because it was too hot to run the oven. So delicious!

I thought you didn't eat chicken, Juanita?? Wasn't that you?Have you come over to the dark side? ;-)

Meredith, glad the pizza on the grill worked out and thanks for the details. Grills get so much hotter than ovens, so I bet pizza on the grill is awesome. I'll have to try it.

No crockpot meal here. Still haven't bought one yet, although I'm sorry I haven't every time I read these great crockpot menus.

Dinner is burgers on the grill, noodles romanoff, and maybe green beans if I can swipe another bag from the pups. AND we are down to our last night of watermelon!!
