Faye - I hope the post below means your power is back on. If not stay safe and warm.

Everyone - stay safe and warm.

Well tonight we didn't get to do our date night obviously ....boo... So instead we had BBQ pork chops with mac and cheese and brussel sprouts.
Fresh popcorn and a movie for dessert!

ctya - today is a perfect day for hot tea (with our without the honey). I think I'll make some hot apple cider to keep warm.

And I forgot that I still have plenty of the veggie soup I made 2 days ago so we'll have that with dinner as well.

ascherer - that is such a cute story! I hope you stay safe in the storms as well. We are hunkered down here and not going anywhere for a couple days.

Gator Girll - I hope your power stays on long enough for homemade dressing. Yum! I am getting ready to make the banana bread I mentioned yesterday.

I think I'll make the breakfast casserole that didn't get made the other night. It will go well with the banana bread. I'll also serve clementines that I bought yesterday.

Enjoying some free tea from SD, but I don't have any honey.......but we will do soup and sandwiches.

Depending upon whether our power stays on (which is generally unlikely in my area) I have a pork loin, some homemade dressing with a little apple thrown in, and either steamed broccoli and cauliflower or buttered corn kernels.

If the power goes out it will be sandwiches and potato chips (and a little red wine for me). Be safe out there, folks!

The beach side of my family has a tradition of going out to dinner on Friday nights. It is a whoever whats to and can make it kind of thing. It started over ten years ago when my Aunt told my Uncle that she cooked him a good made from scratch meal every night of the week and from now on her kitchen was closed on Friday nights and if he wanted food he had better take her out to eat. So that is my plan depending on the weather. They are calling for strong thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening. I will take the thunderstorms over the snow and ice.

Everyone keep warm and be safe.
