Thanks ascherer!! Never a full moment when you have children. We ended up having to bring Rae to the ER. Been here since about 7. Still waiting to be seen. At least I didn't have to so this yesterday :)

No clue what is for dinner but probably bar food. Friends of ours are playing tonight at a bar and we are going to go see them play.

Raesmom - Happy Birthday. Enjoy your trip home.

JDouglas - Congrats on the new house.

I'm in the mood for take-out Chinese tonight. Hot and sour soup and Mu Shu pork. Probably not real frugal but I can eat off the leftovers for three days!

raesmom1612 - how fun!! What a great birthday week you are having. I am so happy for you all!

And it looks like Italian chicken in the slow cooker, homemade mac & cheese and salad for dinner.

Yesterday was a blast!!! My parents (who were in complete shock when we walked through the door) and sister kept the girls so DH and I went to Niagara Falls and rode the maid of the mist. It's a 2 story charter boat that takes you as close as safely possible to the roaring falls (you do get wet lol) it was such a breath taking experience. I hadn't done it since I was a child and DH has never done it so it was awesome!! Highly recommend doing that if anyone ever goes to Niagara Falls. We went to one of my favorite restaurants to eat and walked around the outlet mall.

No idea what's on schedule for today to do or to eat. I'm sure we will be bouncing from house to house and will be properly fed.

I don't like the weather of course. It's a "warm" 62 today.....While everyone is wearing shorts and t-shirts, we have on jeans, sweaters and jackets lol.

    Enjoy the day y'all!!

Hubby is fishing today so it's just me and my BFF. I'm thinking chicken alfredo or something that I can stick in the microwave (way too hot to cook).

Oh - no idea what we are having for dinner. We may be bringing dinner to friends tonight. Not sure yet. We ended up having chicken salad for dinner last night so the tikka masala will be Sunday or Monday.

twinredheads - how fun! And hot!

coupon4me - thanks for your menu for the week. You are so right about family dinners. It's always nice when your folks make you dinner - especially when you are an adult with kids!

I miss going to my moms for dinner so much. You don't realize how important the simple things like having dinner together with your parents really are until they are no longer here. So glad for you that you can still enjoy that time with your folks.

Enjoy your picnic, sounds fun. I just love those family things. :-). Being all together is the best!!
Haven't posted in a couple of days so here's my recap: Wednesday night my parents invited my kids and I to dinner so we had pasta, meat sauce rolls and steamed mixed veggies.
Last night was a kids kind of dinner- hot dogs, carrots and they had mac and cheese. My oldest and I finished the edamame.
It's just us again tonight- thinking eggs, bacon and fruit.
    TGIF!

My husband's job has their spring picnic tonight so free food for the whole family! Now that's frugal :)
