Yesterday I had dinner at work so my family had a leftover night. Tonight was another easy one - tomato soup with grilled cheese and free Brueggel bagels.

The shrimp and salad did not happen last night. We just had the homemade veggie soup and bagels (using the free bagels from Bruegger's from yesterday). Soooo - tonight it's cajun shrimp on a salad. I think I'll do a chopped salad because yours sounds so good, RFB!

Great meals from all of you tonight!

Em2s - I wish you safe travels as you bring your family back home.

twinredheads - As wintry as it is out there, that shrimp with asparagus and pasta sounds wonderful.

lindabates - I'm with EM2S - pizza at every meal would work for me....just not my waistline. lol

Faye - That veggie soup pic is so-o-o inviting on a wintry day!!

RaleighFoodBlogger - You're right about that bit of extra effort -- am sure it was amazing!

Twinredheads - Your shrimp and asparagus pasta sounds like a perfect way to brighten a dreary day!

LindaBates - I could eat pizza three out of three meals a day ;)

Our meal will disguise leftovers in new dishes: kickin' turkey-cauliflower corn chowder with sauteed sliced mushrooms-spinach-muenster paninis, Waldorf lettuce cups, and the last of carrot cake with a hot beverage bar. After an early meal, will hit the road to get some family back home. Wishing everyone a great weekend and next week!!

    So cold here today, too!

Tonight I'm making Italian Ground Beef Zucchini Boats. And forgot to add that we had Chicken and Bacon Chopped Salad last night. It's a bit more effort, but I am always amazed what a difference in taste when it's all chopped up in small pieces, including the lettuce (we used spring mix and arugula). Add some dried cranberries, and it's the best!

Frozen pizza tonight with sausage and cheese dip and Scoops for snack.

    Tomorrow: maybe breakfast for dinner

Sunday: sandwiches and chips and leftover sausage dip or bbq chicken dip and Scoops while watching the super bowl

Leaning toward shrimp and asparagus pasta with a side salad. Might need some soup or chili with this dreary day though...
